Zuppa Toscana Weekly Keto Recipes


hello welcome to my weekly I want to be a weekly recipe videos um yeah bit of a break but coming back now using my phone as a camera to record it’s kind of a tradition kind of to use that make the first video coming back as a first video with a camera to be a recipe video so kind of testing out the video and testing out how things work today I’ll be cooking a I think it’s pronounced Zuppa Toscana and I did partially choose this recipe because it’s difficult to say but basically it translates to see from tasks Tuscany and Tuscany is a region in central Italy it apparently pretty fascinating place basically where the Italian Renaissance started out at but you go ahead and get started and I’ll show you it’s all anything here’s all what I mean starting off with one pound of sausage have one tablespoon of olive oil 1 medium onion 1 a 3 garlic cloves 36 hours of well the recipe calls for a chicken stock went with a pay attention when I picked it up backs I think have chicken broth but when I looked at it those are pretty much interchangeable um slightly later flavor but they work together either way one head of cauliflower I have 3 cups of chopped up kale I know that’s probably gonna be more than 3 cups but if that’s how they sell them that big bundle they a quarter teaspoon of red pepper flakes one teaspoon of salt half a teaspoon of pepper and 1/2 cup of heavy cream and first thing I’m going to do is put the cream away because that that comes in quite a bit later and then I’ll get everything cut up and start cooking okay sausage has finished cooking man it’s set to drain and rinse it before putting in the slow cooker but this sausage is pretty dry by itself so I think I’ll just transfer that and just look at her by it so we went ahead and just transfer that over to the smoker and now I’ll put in the onions and garlic and I’ll put one tablespoon of olive oil in that pan okay that’s the tablespoon of olive oil minced cloves of garlic in there I’ll let that saute for three or four minutes now we’ll come back to it now that the onions are cooked for a while I’ll go ahead and move those into the slow cooker and also to the slow cooker I’ll go ahead put the cauliflower now the half a quarter teaspoon of red pepper flakes half a teaspoon of black pepper and a teaspoon of salt there’s three cups of chopped kale fit in there I’m sure and then 36 ounces of chicken broth I’m going to do that I want two handed so we’re starting at rayful got it all mixed up in there so now I’ll cover it turn it over to high and well let that sit you can set it for on low for eight hours but I’m going to set it on high for four because I’m starting a little bit later in the evening than I wanted to so black down we’ll come back to that and show you the rest of it so it’s a cent for four hours on high sounds pretty good and now we’ll go ahead and pour it in a half a cup of the heavy cream that’s pretty much it once it’s mixed up it’s ready to go that’s about ten servings maybe pretty I’ve made it before it’s it is pretty good stuff and it lasts for pretty good in the freezer works pretty good and there’s a freezer dinner that’s a yeah that’s it that’s one Zuppa Toscana I’m pretty sure in this process that but Dad that’s kind of the fun of the reason I picked that to cook okay thanks for watching every Tuesday I’d like to share a video of a different recipe I come across most trying to do the keto diet please like favorite scribe and you suggestions for other recipes would be greatly appreciated thank you have a nice day you
