WHAT I EAT NOW AFTER SURGERY | KETO DIET | VSG | WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY


hey guys welcome back to my channel I wanted to do this video quick for you before my baby wakes up and I get this question probably 10 to 15 times a week over and over and I just I have to answer it because I think you guys want to know um how do I eat post up now what do I eat do I still eat keto what kind of things do I eat what do I recommend and I guess I would say I don’t know what I would recommend because I think everybody’s different everybody has different tastes some people really love keto I like their baked goods I like a lot of things keto but I also love a lot of things paleo too and so I love you know almost any kind of meat I am not really restricted on anything that I love fish you guys don’t really dislike anything other than cauliflower and cooked carrots both of those things are an abomination okay if they try to make a pizza with cauliflower just throw it in the trash it’s an abomination so I am not picky when it comes to food typically but those are the two things that I just I’m never gonna eat I’ll eat raw carrots but no cooked carrots and I’ll never eat cauliflower I don’t care if you put it in a Reese’s PCs cup and tell me it’s a Reese’s pcs cauliflower I’m never eating it it looks like brains that’s a little exaggerated but it’s true it’s how I feel about cauliflower so I don’t know how you feel about cauliflower you can tell me down below what is your like absolute food that you hate or absolutely that you love for me I love anything produce anything except for those two things I love salads I love stir fries of veggies I love meats I love cheese a lot I love carbs a lot that’s what got me into this mess so I don’t eat a lot of carbs anymore but um I do love keto I don’t want to say anything bad about it because it just wasn’t really for me to follow strict another thing too is I found that I want to eat with my family I am busy I work 32 hours a week I have a big big load of clients I work from home I have a marketing business so I work from home I have a nanny part-time and you know I have some help but I am so busy you guys and the work I do is like copywriting editing it’s very like intense so I don’t have time for a lot of extra things so like making meals for me and making meals for my family that’s just not gonna happen and so not everyone wants to eat keto so I just try to make whatever I make for my family as friendly for me as possible and so what I do is I always have like a couple backup things for me so if I make them like a heavy pasta dish that they love or something and then I realize crap I’m gonna be able to eat like three bites of that and it’s not really gonna give me what I need I’ll just make a little salad or something or cut up an avocado and put everything with the bagel seasoning on it or something like that food isn’t controlling for me as much as it used to be I used to just like obsess about food you guys like plan the next meal where was it coming from how much would it be would it be enough would I still be hungry it was bad you guys bad and I don’t want to be chained to food anymore so I just leave tons of fresh produce in my fridge and go to town I eat all kinds of things I also look oatmeal I love just like also my stomach’s so new I guess I should tell you this but it’s kind of fun to try out foods in a weird way because it’s like I’m trying them for the first time I’m trying to figure out whether my stomach likes it whether my body likes it so I do like to like plan little things out like I just tried shrimp I tried porkchops recently you know just things that I wasn’t sure how my body would react and it’s been doing great so um I just encourage you if you are post-op or thinking about doing gastric sleeve or bypass and you’re thinking about what you’re going to eat and what is that life going to look like after surgery well it’s gonna look pretty good I’m gonna tell you that you’re gonna it’s such a horribly mentally frustrating time post-op because you you can’t eat right away you can’t eat and you’re frustrated and you feel like it’s gonna be like that forever and it’s not you guys it’s not I think if I could just give you a hug right now and tell you it’s not gonna be like that because it was so stressful for me the surgery wasn’t stressful it was the not eating for me it was so stressful so it’s gonna be okay you’re gonna eat good we’re gonna eat well and you know really I could eat anything right now there’s not a whole lot of restriction as far as my body rejecting things so I really try to make the best decisions I can do I have like a little piece of a doughnut every now and then sure I mean I um I’ll need a couple fries even if I go out with my husband not a lot though because I don’t like the way I feel after I eat things like that so I may want like one fry that looks so good and dip it in ketchup and then I have my fix or I’m a my husband I’ll have a doughnut and I’ll say oh my gosh let me have a bite and then I just I feel like I had what I needed and I move on now listen old Aaron would eat the whole bucks old Aaron wouldn’t eat for all the price and then my kids for us so I still consider this a wind so I know a lot of people are very all-or-nothing after surgery they’re like not eating carbs they’re not eating they’re really rejecting the bad things that they tell themselves were bad for them and that’s okay too you got to eat how you eat in fact in one of my videos I’m gonna link it up there I shared how I eat after surgery and this person left me a comment and really schooled me you guys they told me they I can’t remember exactly the comment you’ll have to go watch the video and see the comment but don’t say anything mean to her anything because it actually really made me think about how I eat differently and how I tell you guys how to eat differently because we’re all in a different journey and while I’m not recommending you know blending up tasty cakes and eating them I don’t think for me I’m gonna beat myself up if I eat a french fry but I’m not gonna eat like a lot of french fries and if I eat one french fry in a week and then I eat clean 99% the rest of the time I feel like that’s good for me for me you may be different food addiction is a tricky thing I know someone who is going to Overeaters Anonymous food addict they have a sponsor and they literally text a picture of everything they eat to their sponsor and that works for them and this person I want to say has lost over 250 pounds maybe like a lot rock star rock star totally mad props but that’s not gonna work for me first of all because I will eat everything and then not tell my sponsor so I have to just tell myself I’m in control I’m gonna have one pride I’m gonna enjoy the heck out of that fry and move on and eat an amazing salad and then the next three days I’m gonna be laser-focused but then if I know what birthday party’s coming and they’ll be chips and salsa I’m gonna have a few chips and salsa but then I’m gonna get back on track so that’s what works for me but I don’t want to tell you what works for you because you have to figure out what works for you so definitely check out that video don’t leave her any mean comments or I will delete them because she bless her heart she’s teaching me something and I don’t know everything don’t come to me for knowing everything because I’m just figuring you know I’m in the trenches to you guys I’m figuring this out I’m figuring out how to not be 300 pounds I’m figuring out how to live in this 180 pound body that I don’t know what to do with like I don’t know what to do like I don’t even recognize myself in the mirror anymore there’s a lot of mental stuff happening here I’m like what is happening I am trying to navigate all new waters so navigate with me so I am always open to comments and criticism criticize me as long as you don’t cuss me out and make me cry you know tell me we think like I really respect that and I am here to learn too and as I think a lot of you are so you know tell me down below what you want to see what videos do you want to see or you know give a thumbs up if you want to see what I eat for breakfast what I eat for lunch is what are you for dinners if you want to see also a regular what I feed my family for dinners too I can include that in there because I kind of have my little rotation of meals but I definitely wanted to get this video for you and tell you that I’m not doing keto not at all I mean I guess I would eat some keto things but definitely eating a lot of cheese but I love produce I love paleo love you know high protein get your protein in first and stay hydrated that’s kind of my goal every day and my goal every day is to eat better that day than I did the day before which I’ve been doing pretty decent here lately so I’m on a good roll it’s a good train while I’m going I’d love to share it with you so thank you guys so much for watching please
