what’s up guys good to see you welcome to the vlog we got a full jam-packed house it is Monday Monday motivation say hi to Carly look at the baby say hi to Sawyer say what’s up to max keto chef max is in the house so I know I’ve been kind of m.i.a on the youtubes lately things have just been crazy we’ve been developing awesome new programs keto quest we’ve been shooting videos for that we’ve got I so pumped max which is a revolutionary workout program that I am super stoked about I’ve been putting max through the workouts what do you think so far yeah it’s basically based off what I do it’s legit legit so we’re gonna show you a little bit of that we’re getting ready to head to the gym right now max took his pre-workout I still don’t have a pre-workout guys keto pump oh I didn’t realize how stressful this was gonna be and I hate kind of pushing you guys back and pushing you guys back but that’s kind of been what’s happening to me the production team is almost there we’re having our final meeting this week it’s gonna be soon hopefully no more than two weeks I’ve got like over a thousand people who signed up for it so I’ve just been getting blown up when’s it coming when’s it coming I promise you guys it’s coming so oh gosh it kind of feels good to be back is good to see you guys so we’re gonna do a full day of eating let’s do a full day of eating today hold it yes have you eaten anything so no okay so I’ve had my keto coffee and I actually used key butter thanks to keto chef max so I replaced my Kerrygold butter with ghee butter what’s the benefit of ghee butter again so basically it removes all of the lactose in it as well as casein proteins in it it basically demon arises it because you’re clarifying the butter so it’s got kind of an acquired taste but it’s acquired on me yeah I like it basically a butter oil yeah and the cool thing is you don’t the refrigerator you just set it out on your countertop so we’ve got a tablespoon of that we’ve also got a tablespoon of coconut oil it’s crazy that like a few months ago that report came out that said coconut oil kills you if coconut oil killed you your boy would be dead by now man I’d be dead uh and then we put some heavy whipping cream inside that I also took a tablespoons of my oil so I have cod liver oil and I also have olive oil I got started doing that along i’ma go from a prominent doctor in Atlanta who told me when I was I was training him I was his personal trainer and he came to me and he was like yeah I take three tablespoons three tablespoons of olive oil every single morning that was before I knew about keto and I was like hey doc you’re gonna die bro how’s that you you’re dead soon man you better stop doing that and he’s like no actually what’s crazy is that most Americans wake up and they have three tablespoons of sugar within the first hour of waking up and by the end of the day they’ve had 17 to 20 that is actually what’s crazy so we’re gonna get on with the day we’ll see you guys at the gym [Music] [Music] be swept away sweat I’m cornered in the cold when you miss me I cannot let you go [Music] [Music] [Music] okay sweet so we got a run to h-e-b which is the local grocery store here in Texas to buy some stuff fortunately I came prepared so I don’t want to go like another hour without eating a meal so what I have here is the keto meal from American metabolics in this nice cool little pink container here I’m gonna mix this with water this is just butter and egg powder super high fat this will hold me over until we get to our first meal of the day one hour later alright guys so we are now back home I have to be in stealth mode because Paxton is upstairs taking a nap but we got our grocery haul here so Max and I are gonna just kind of go over what is in clown clown bread cloud bread which I’ve actually never had cloud bread of you I actually haven’t either so this is first time making it for us one thing that I do like about and I asked max I was like you know does this have any flour in it because I think the almond flour coconut flour stuff gets abused especially when it’s like eating the bread so this has no flour no flour which is awesome so let’s take us through what we got here got some full fat free cheese that he actually accidentally bought the would you buy the low-fat the reduced one-third reduced fat make sure you guys buy the full fat cream cheese so your boy had to like go sprinting through the grocery store to go pick it up there’s like supermarket sweep remember that show yeah no super mario supermarket sweep i pasture-raised they always go pasture-raised eggs we picked up crema tarde which is actually a high in potassium yeah so it’s actually a nice supplement to your diet cool but this is just gonna act as a stabilizer and fluff the eggs up for the whites what else we got and that’s it for that so that’s it that’s all we need for the top three ingredients and then we’re gonna have other seasonings that okay so then we got some other random stuff so we’ll go through that again would you get some herbs there yeah missing oregano some basil some scallion max cooks with a lot of herbs parsley red rush pepper or some shallots and then we’re gonna head in box a sharp cheddar cheese yep because we’re gonna be making a breakfast sandwich okay and this guy’s is my new favorite obsession it’s called Mont chevre this is a goat cheese huge fan of this stuff so go to your grocery store and find that out obviously we’ve got some Kerrygold butter who still has yet to sponsor your boy I don’t know what’s up carry goat if you’re watching this man hook a brother up Parmesan cheese which we’ve been using a lot of yeah yeah got tons of leucine in it yeah high in leucine Lucy’s in a leucine is a amino acid that spikes protein synthesis helps you build muscles so interesting fact about that also high in leucine is some salted sunflower seed kernels pumpkin seeds and some pumpkin seeds and yep this is another one of those things I get pretty much every time I go to the grocery store lemons for the lemon water so while he was putting this together I’m gonna snack probably we’re gonna snack on some seeds here so we’ll show you the final product here in just a set max what is this thing oh yeah it’s all the time it makes everything that you want to bake like say you want to do some parchment paper yeah like you can do anything on that it’s not gonna stick to it comes off really easily and it’s very easy to clean up you just rinse it off with some soapy water and you’re done you don’t have to throw it into your dishwasher that’s adorable as hell show everybody your new chef’s apron shake it you want to give him a shout out who’s it from my dad you remember chef works chef works looks good on you bill [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] okay guys this actually looks too good to eat so first try at cloud bread success yeah easier than you thought yeah it’s pretty easy feel like this is one of those things where you guys can definitely make this at home it’s like minimal ingredients like I feel like I could have done this myself yeah that’s basically just three ingredients and you can whip it up right at home it only takes 30 minutes to cook cool amazing uh you can store it in the fridge yeah we’ve got some leftovers we got some extra stuff here so now for the taste test here I’m gonna take this half Cobb bread what is this a cloud bread egg and cheese sandwich and bacon McDonald’s ain’t got nothing on this girl mm-hmm this is so good I was starving after that workout so we’re gonna finish this we’ve actually got another one back there or both gonna take that apart as well so first meal of the day actually I know that’s can’t really call it a first meal of the day because we’ve had oils and I’ve had keto meal but yeah this is very good was well done on this bro thanks man all right guys so packs man now just woke up from his nap sitting here hanging out with keto chef max yes after that first meal Carly is at the grocery store a quick update on Paxton he is no longer allergic to almonds so if you guys have been following us for a long time you know that Paxton was allergic to eggs and all different kinds of nuts so we did an egg allergy test he passed that he grew out of the egg allergy which is huge and then we gave him an almond test and we didn’t we took him to the hospital to do it and he passed the almond test you just basically drank a bunch of almond milk and didn’t break out in hives whatsoever so we’re gonna follow up and do walnuts and all the other tree nuts but the nut thing is actually super surprising because they told us there was like a 40% chance he would grow out of that that’s also the one that scared me the most because he’s anaphylactic to it the last time he had almonds on accident when he was young we had to take him to the hospital his throat was like swollen closed but anyways so that is like a huge relief for us it also opens up a lot of different foods healthy foods that Paxton can eat we Paxton and I had like a big monumental step in our relationship a few weeks ago Carly went to New Jersey for her like little baby shower thing and left packs man and I together for five straight days it was very stressful build-up but Paxton and I got through it I felt like we were able to bond big time and it was it was interesting to see have a better perspective of how much my wife actually does and by the end of it all I appreciated my wife so much more and I was more proactive in taking care of Paxton before I was very reactive it was like her primary job and I’d help out where I could but I was never aunt dissipating things once I was left with him for five straight days and I realized every little minor detail that goes into taking care of a child I was able to oh thank you Paxton’s having it’s a full day of eating video bud what are you eating here some organic yogurt how the struggle is so real but nonetheless it was it was amazing and shout out to all the single parents out there it totally opened up my eyes and I’m so glad that I had that time with you packs man we had a lot of fun you love daddy lay down all right so we’re waiting for our friend m to come over to join us for dinner and I kind of feel like having another keto coffee so I asked max if he wanted one he said I got a better idea [Music] all right so this Kido coffee made by keto chef max is now complete so I noticed the secret ingredient here is xantham gum tell us about xanthan gum all right so it is an emulsifier basically if you want to thicken something up this is a very easy way to do it and it’s natural right it is natural so a lot of people don’t realize that these products that are coming out from these modernist kitchens they are actually all from nature some do cause issues like xanthan gum I here does have some stomach issues as some people but it’s not terrible I see it in a lot of products like on a yo-yo every literally just the name of it you’re like oh that’s chemically like yeah yeah but no and uh it’s actually the died off from a bacteria that’s crazy yeah this tastes phenomenal yeah it’s emulsified now it feels like it’s actually a latte right mm-hmm it’s frothy yeah that’s very frothy so all right you learn something new every single day with this guy we’ve got a lot going on in the kitchen right now guys karlie is making paxton some kielbasa I’m gonna show you the brand here of what we’re using it’s phenomenal if you guys can find it and then max what do you got going on here clarifying butter we’re clarifying butter isn’t that what ghee is so we’ve got ghee which I’ve talked about before Mac said you know what I could probably make em myself and it’s quick and easy so we’ve got this going on let me show you what’s inside there how many sticks of Kerrygold is that three three big gold packages of carry gold what are you gonna do to simmer this down yeah so basically right now it’s just melted completely and now all the milk solids are sitting on the bottom and as we go and it starts to be coming to a simmer it’s gonna foam up and we’re just gonna start scraping all those milk solids off of it please II have another letter that’s the I can have another letter e P what letter is that X so smart alright so Paxton’s dinner is ready he’s got some kielbasa he’s got some cauliflower which looks like a single piece of broccoli and some mozzarella cheese Paxton keeping it keto friendly Paxton let’s see all right so we’ve got some meat here laid out max is seasoning it with just plain black pepper right yeah what else you gonna fit on there anything some salt we’re gonna baste it what’s basting me so we’re gonna melt down some butter in a pan and grab some fresh herbs put it on the steak and everything and we’re gonna just base that butter that it’s coming up all over the steaks nice okay I want to talk to you guys really quick about butcher box they sent me this meat for free and told me to please share it with all of you typically the rule is like when a company sends me products if I wouldn’t pay my own money for it I’m not gonna promote it i honest to god would pay money for butcher box I think it’s like 150 dollars a month but you get this huge box of meat sent directly to your door and the cool thing is you get to go online and select a bunch of different meats so what we get we got New York strips we got rib eyes yes we got chicken thigh dick and thighs they have sausages right yeah we got sausages bacon they got a bunch of shops what are we ordering next time especially yeah they run all these different specials I’m gonna put a link in the description of this video below if you guys are interested I think the coolest thing is it’s just convenient like I hate going to the store like and just buying for steaks I’d rather just pull them out of my freezer thawing out and get keto chef max to cook him up Hey look who it is it’s M guys I want to introduce you to my friend and say hello say hi to everybody on you have a youtube channel I do she does makeup I do who specializes in makeup she’s been in Austin for how long seven years cool she joined us on Thanksgiving yeah for this for the epic Thanksgiving that was epic all right so cool thing about M is she is a success story from the Cuban diet I’m not success yes yes you are you’re a huge success how much weight have you lost even keep it dry I do not weigh myself at all ever I applaud that I definitely applaud that but you have made an amazing transformation yes I’ve actually dropped my starting sideline okay so like my starting size was actually 18 and I’m down to a six now so ladies out there you know what I’m talking about yeah I’m me I’m like that just sounds impressive as hell and you probably feel better you look amazing thank you yeah and a lot of people get focused on the weight loss but how does it helped you like in terms of your energy levels if you know oh my gosh like keto is no longer a diet for me it is a lifestyle I will not go off of it because of how great I actually feel on keto so yeah it’s uh it’s more than just a diet for me it’s more than just a life like even if I didn’t lose all the weight I would still do keto just because of how great I feel totally 100% and that benefit kind of gets lost on a lot of people like they want to use it for a weight loss but go back to carbs and you’re gonna feel like crap oh yeah like I can tell you right now I’ve been up since 6 o’clock this morning and cranking it yeah I’ll probably be up till about midnight tonight that is dumb no notice you know no team a team no no 3 p.m. crash you’ve been doing it for how long keto 16 or 17 months now I should probably do the math yeah did you fail in the beginning at all fail right from the beginning no I hate to brag but like I’m pretty self motivating what advice would you give to somebody who tries keto for like two weeks and then maybe has a fuckup um give it a give it another try yeah like the very next day if you uh you know slip up just jump back on that horse as quick as possible don’t don’t dwell on it don’t you know yeah don’t let it beat you down just get back on it that’s the way it is for a lot of people is you try it and you mess up and people kind of feel like it’s all in or nothing and then as soon as you mess up they just don’t get back on and unfortunately but it’s worth sticking it out in my opinion right oh it’s definitely worth it absolutely alright so what do you have max is making us these steaks here so once he’s finished with that we’ll show you what we got [Music] alright guys so we are now sitting down for dinner the steak has done we’ve got some leftovers that Max made for Thanksgiving those klux leftovers tell us what we got here starting with this green alright so he did a green bean casserole and we key toed it so a lot of green bean casseroles have like a thickener or a corn starch or a flower or some kind of roooar something inside of it but what we did is we made everything from scratch and we add it to the xanthan gum – it tastes amazing Carly’s actually one of her favorites from Thanksgiving and then what we have here we have a coffee arrow salad basically it’s just cold salad basically loaded up like a baked potato it tastes like a loaded baked potato yeah alright that’s great yeah so thank you again for cooking this wonderful meal Bon Appetit later that same evening all right we are on to our final meal of the day we’ve got this peak yogurt I talked about this yogurt company before they’re a very small start-up that no joke makes the best yogurt you will ever find you ain’t gonna find this stuff on the grocery store she’s grocery store shelves this is 17% milk fats all right it’s also completely organic it’s very rich they run out all the time I’ll put a link in the description below again if you guys want to try this out we’ve added some berries into this so this is a nice little way to end the day high fat I want to talk about something real quick since this was a full day of eating video most of you guys expect people that do these type of videos to show you the calories and the macros and all of that stuff I’ve been doing this diet for a very very very long time and I’ve been able to turn it into a lifestyle and one of the big ways that I was able to do that was to stop tracking to listen to my body which is the biggest benefit of the ketogenic diet you are completely regulated eat when you’re hungry eat high fat food so that you stay full don’t be a slave to the tracking in the beginning and I think M can testify to this M started tracking right when you first started oh yeah oh yeah definitely for about the first six months of my Kido journey I tracked everything every day I was like anal about it and now you just go instinctive like you you’ve built up the confidence and I I’ve learned to listen to my body I know I know when I’ve had too much protein I know when I’ve had my carb limit for the day I can feel it yeah like that’s how well I know my own body now yeah it’s real it’s liberating that’s what makes it a build life a lifestyle you don’t you don’t have to like be a slave to the numbers counting the calories in the grams and freaking out about the small stuff like me personally when I first started it was 70 to 80 percent fat 10 to 20% protein and always less than 50 grams total carbs and if somebody was tracking this entire day maybe somebody out there in the internet will track it for me but I guarantee you I’d put $1,000 that I was within that ratio today and I could feel that I was like I felt a lot of energy no crashes I knew that I was doing everything the right way let’s talk about berries really quick before we go I know that’s kind of a hot topic I put something on Instagram about them a while ago a lot of people are incorporating berries I just started doing it as well if you have a lot of weight to lose I would say back off in the beginning of your journey and incorporate them later they will spike blood sugar and insulin but berries spike blood sugar and insulin the least we have blueberries and blackberries thoughts on berries I’m cool with it if you are afraid that you’re gonna go over measure them out you don’t go over a quarter cup or yeah that’s true you’re limited on my Instagram I said berries are awesome but they’re hard to stay in moderation with like an almost kind of triggers that sugar craving it’s like a it could be a gateway does that make sense yeah totally yeah I feel like guilty but I’m just kind of but for me the antioxidants also it does satisfy the sweet tooth like yeah I’d rather grab some berries and throw them in some yogurt then eat some highly processed even keto food taquitos snack or something like that um one more really quick tip guys if you are worried about the berries put them in something that’s high fat because when you add fat it slows the digestion of the berries down and minimize
