hi I’m ginger and welcome to the key to Great British Bake Off this week we’re gonna make Kim Joy’s dream roulade which is really just raspberry and cream based on meringue which is already naturally cute let’s get into it quick for desert week I have waited all week to find out what the signature based on meringue was because generally I thought it was just gonna be meringue cookies pavlova I was gonna be happy with that we already make meringue cookies and they were really really nice but no we did something that I had no idea existed which is apparently I roll on like a Swiss roll but instead of being made with sponger it’s made with meringue technically meringue is our friend in Quito because once you replace the sugar with sweetener it’s already keto because it’s AG it’s not optional flour so that should be good I debated which one to do because all of them had the different kind of either sweetener there was a treacle for Briony a lot of people had proper cherries proper pineapple and I was like I can’t use that in Quito so closest team that I could find on like second or third watch it was Kim Joyce because despite how elusive she tries to be with coordinator dream actually when you look at it apart from the passionfruit thingy it’s whipped cream and raspberry that we can do it’s it’s vegan it’s gonna be Quito I debated whether to do the roulade or the gelatin syrup to sweeten our cream I’ll gonna have raspberries I just told these from the freezer so we’re good there I have my faithful coconut oil spray because from what I’ve seen the hardest part is gonna be to get the meringue before it’s all add from the tray so let’s hope for the best shall we again the almost just get sprinkles so we don’t worry about that now we just worry about the egg whites egg white our vinegar to make the stuff together and then because it seems like a good idea we are going to add the sugar as we start whipping them this would be the amazing situation where you bring out your food mixer like the proper big round one which I have it’s just in a very different position in the house or so we’re doing this right we have our trainee which is 24 30 centimeters which is apparently the idea of sponge for this kind of roly-poly thingy we always like there’s no tomorrow because the hardest part will be to actually then roll it whatever stays on top now that’s where know it’s just not it’s not just me so this is 200 mm of cream and I’m gonna start whipping it first and once it starts to get thick I’m gonna add the syrup because I don’t want to see up to water it raspberries we’re gonna just convince them just take around I don’t like this like I don’t like food in general so my issue with this it’s that nothing is done with the raspberries and they’re actually relatively in their natural state which actually are full of seeds on the inside you don’t realize because they’re like it’s it’s puffy it’s not it’s not as honest as strawberries to show you the seeds right away they’re sneaky help I just disemboweled some raspberries a few right now with firewood a roulade if you were to a lot louder yeah but that’s what it’s broken so it’s not gonna stay together if I step on the damn music all right again even my nose that didn’t have a stain necessarily rolling and and and you know it’s no no you know what you know what all the things that could be could be definitely worse doesn’t have that much of a sweet but neither did most of the bakers yesterday so that’s fine that’s fine that’s fine I don’t know to do good it’s done now because together so those are the reasons but I think I see the point of putting the plainer Rose berries because with the sweet cream inside the raspberry gave the flavor and keep a bit of sour if you make sense to contrast with the whipped cream which is Sweden which is nice this is really bratty I really like it I want to dig into it but I can’t yet but right now you will get ginger of the future
