Our Three Favorite Keto Sandwich Recipes | Pro Tip: Use Cheese Instead of Bread


yo guys how’s it going today I’m going to show you how to make three keto sandwiches to replace your lunches your kids lunches and just that sandwich need that we all have sandwiches are one of my favorite foods so I had to find a couple different ways to eat them and make them delicious we’re gonna start with probably my favorite a halloumi BLT this is halloumi right here you guys may have heard of it may have not we talked about it a lot it is a delicious frying cheese it’s expensive I want to put that out there right now it’s $17.99 a pound sounds ridiculous but once you try it you’ll be like this should be a thousand dollars a pound it’s so good another good option though that is cheaper is caso de freer you can get that in most grocery stores we’ve seen it in Kroger Publix we got the lettuce the tomato and then we have some bacon here we’re gonna cook up so let’s get the bacon going so I’ve got a pan heating to medium-high heat and I’m just gonna drop in some slices so while those are cooking up I’m going to break into the halloumi alright so we are gonna cut this lengthwise going down this way so we can get some thick slices it looks good see how this Bacon’s doing it’s not funny it’s hot grease that’s splattered in the right food I’m not the bacon cooker I hate cooking bacon alright the Bacon’s looking good and done and then there’s a lot of bacon reason here so I’m going to drain off most of it there are four pieces of bacon so two are gonna go in the sandwich we’re making now and then two are gonna go on the second sandwich so once your pants cleaned out you’re gonna turn the pan to medium heat and since it’s already hot we can just add these right in normally I like to wait till the pan gets hot when you’re cooking up frying cheese you actually don’t need any oil in the pan because once the cheese cooks it naturally releases so as you’ll see it’ll Brown and then it’ll release and you can just flip it over oh it’s good see how it’s browned like that that’s what you’re looking for this browning okay so we’ve got our halloumi ready to go we’ve got our bacon now we’re just gonna slice up the lettuce and the tomato put down a slice of halloumi lay some bacon down on the bottom some tomato on the middle lettuce more bacon of course and that’s your halloumi bacon lettuce and tomato so let’s move on to our second sandwich at the end I’ll try all three for you the next sandwich you’re gonna make is probably the easiest thing you will ever put together in your life we’re just gonna make simple lettuce wrap sandwiches so I’ve got two pretty big leaves here and we’re just gonna layer in all of our favorite toppings and we’re good to go I always go for Mayo it’s pure fat it makes it creamy delicious I’m just gonna take some I’m going to spread it inside and I’m making two because one is never enough for me I always make these and at least pairs if not three or four these do mayor you can do mustard you can do low-carb barbecue sauce sugar-free ketchup there’s a ton of options you can even do just like salt pepper and then drizzle some olive oil on I like to keep it simple so I’m just gonna go with some Havarti cheese and then some deli meat whenever we do that deli meat we always like to go for this guy right here it’s the Applegate brand so next I am going to layer in some cheese and you can do as many slices of cheese as you want next I’m going to layer in a couple slices of the meat and sometimes all add in some onions if I want the crunch you could go with Tomatoes you could put on whatever veggie slices of cucumbers that’s always really good but this is a really simple quick lunch meal you can pack with and take with you these can easily be put in like Ziploc bags here it is a really simple second PETA friendly sandwich sandwich number three this is the delicious one this is a breakfast style sandwich we’re gonna just do a simple bacon egg and cheese so you saw me cook the bacon earlier two slices left over and then here we have our keto bread which we will link in the blog post below with all of these recipes if you don’t have the keto bread on hand we often do this is a good meal prep option you can also though use our three minutes coconut flour cheddar biscuit in the microwave if you don’t have any bread at home but you want to make a quick sandwich that’s perfect for our breakfast first thing we’re gonna do is fry up our egg we have a small skillet right here heating to medium heat I’m gonna give it a spray with some coconut oil a small baby yolk a little chicken so we’re just gonna let this cook up I’m gonna salt and pepper this bad boy so our egg is perfectly done and looks beautiful so now we’re gonna slice up the bread I’m gonna go pretty fit with my slices I prefer more like egg cheese and bacon to bread feel like someone’s gonna comment about how this isn’t a bread knife alright so those are nice and thin so you could toast this up so I’m a toasted bread person but a lot of you out there like you know you’re soggy bread who eats potato bread have you read have you read potato rolls people who eat potato bread should be banished to like potato Island oh you could also when you toast it put these cheese on so the cheese melts chop one slice with some cheese two slices of bacon YUM and then we are gonna top it with this egg with a really runny yolk that’s that’s perfect see I represented that so yeah this is the third sandwich super delicious the sandwiches are done they’re ready to go I’m gonna try all three and then probably finish them off afterward on the video so simple crunchy it tastes like just like a deli meat sandwich you would get at a grocery store like from the corner deli you used to go too quick to put together and really delicious and filling let’s try this one I could never have dreamt up something more beautiful in my dreams first of all BLTs are super underrated I’ve never actually ordered one out but you know if I ate real sandwiches I would definitely order so delicious it has a really salty flavor halloumi very salty unique in its flavor so it brings a really different component to like just a classic BLT and then the last one I can’t try unfortunately Matt’s gonna hop on over yeah oh yeah maybe a love a breakfast sandwich let’s dig in it’s coming to me it’s coming to me yeah it’s been a long time since I’ve had a breakfast sandwich and I pride myself on being a breakfast sandwich aficionado it’s my all-time favorite food and this one brought me right back I’m back in action we’re making breakfast sandwiches tomorrow morning probably all next week this is really good this one’s i/o so Matt didn’t have a microphone so I was doing a voiceover and the last thing he said was just way too long for me to say so
