MY JOURNEY FOLLOWING THE KETO DIET- major weight loss


hi everyone this is an exciting video and it’s a video that’s been in the works for three months I know you can tell by the title this is basically my one month on following the ketogenic diet I started this January 2nd and I failed like I felt there’s not the way to put it I failed I started it going great I’m good going strong probably have not done enough research and I had friends come out and visit I flew back to England and I just kind of got lost like I was drinking I I just broke I broke the diet so I thought you know what no let’s start this again let’s like let’s I want to do this properly and I want to do it consecutively for 30 days because I really want to see going into ketosis like how does that affect me like oh I wanted to explore the diet properly and I wanted to give it a fair chance I wanted to do it consecutively so then I started again in February it’s now the 25th of March and I can say I have officially done it for what followed the diet for 30 days consecutively I have done it technically since January but there have been days when I drank or I ate something that we’re taking over my carb limit so while I did do it for technically kind of almost three months I only did it consecutively for 30 days so here we are now a month later than I thought we would be but we’re here I’m happy and I’m ready to tell you guys it will take you guys through my journey with the keto diet and just wanted to quickly include for you guys kind of my weight loss in one kind of just brief section just so you guys can kind of see where I started from and where I’ve ended up and I’m gonna include a video that I took this morning just so you guys can really see how the keto diet effective because most people that are going on the keto diet probably are doing this to what to lose weight or tone up like I did it so I wanted to show you guys the journey I went on with my body and yeah so roll those clips I guess this is me kind of this is me at the beginning this is the first day you can see I I mean this is right after Christmas bearing in mind and the undies were a little bit tight on me but you can see it like I’m not toned there’s no definition I’m pudgy it is what it is and then kind of this is like two weeks in and then I obviously took the break but kind of went back to it so we see it kind of his over a three-month period that this took me like going up and down the way and not a month probably if I had done it for a month maybe there wouldn’t have been such a drastic difference I don’t know but we see every time I kind of broke it or like did the week without actually doing keto that affected it as well so you know it is what it is anyway this is just kind of throughout the whole month or three months I guess back to your regular scheduled programming since 2000 there has been a huge turn with people focusing on low carb diets and how carbohydrates affect the body and people have there’s been over 20 human studies completed following people that are following following Hulett are following a low-carb diet why the ketogenic diet is so popular I think is firstly because it was first it was first created for people that have epilepsy there have been strong studies and it is a fact that the ketogenic diet helps with people that suffer epilepsy there are also some some case studies where people say the ketogenic diet helps with Alzheimer’s bipolar disorder I’m not entirely sure that I haven’t done enough research I couldn’t say personally for myself but if it does that’s amazing but it definitely helps us epilepsy and that was when it started to grow in popularity and then in the turn of the century in 2000 and onwards people started getting obsessed with carbs of the enemy you know the Atkins diet there were so many diets that suddenly people were like we need to cut carbs you need to have protein and it kind of from there the developed the ketogenic diet that is so popular today so the ketogenic diet increases levels of HDL which are good cholesterol and it also decreases triglyceride gonna keep everything kind of down here because I’m probably gonna pronounce things wrong but that’s what it decreases decreases at tri tri consolute I don’t know it decreases something in the blood aren’t major factors with heart disease so good cholesterol increases bad cholesterol decreases basically so you eat a low-carb high-fat diet with blood sugar levels juices dramatically and as does the insulin your body produces so basically on a high carb diet a lot of people develop something called insulin resistance and that’s really bad because too much insulin in the bloodstream causes cells in your body to absorb glucose and basically the liver then releases less glucose and that leads to what are you creating your sleeve low glucose levels in your blood which then leads to insulin resistance which basically is closely linked to obesity type 2 diabetes just deal just deal just just a national it’s double oh you guys know I’m trying to say diabetes and pre-diabetes and with diabetes symptoms can include lethargy brain fog hunger big one so obviously you don’t want to become insulin resistant I want to kind of explain what exactly the ketogenic diet is the ketogenic diet is a very low carb moderate protein and high fat diet the goal of the ketogenic diet is to lead to a state of Qatar which basically means your buddy is using fat instead of sugar for fuel so you’re burning through your fat reserves which is E&I ideal how your body gets into ketosis is that you’re eating you’re absorbing less than 50 grams of carbs a day which then leads to your insulin levels being what you technically from what I’ve read can reach ketosis within about a week but I think you kind of want to take like two or three weeks to make sure you’re definitely there you’re definitely keeping your carbs under 50 per day like you want to kind of give it that time to work and you can tell when you’re going to keep ketosis because you kind of get a keto flu um you kind of feel like dizzy you feel a bit out of it your body your body’s adjusting to not having those carbs and obviously with anything with any time when you’re changing where you’re eating in your home I’m changing it quite drastically you’re gonna feel the difference and I definitely did we’ll get into that but basically you guys with the keto flu sometimes your breast can smell a bit weird it’s just like you’re just adjusting to the keto diet basically so I kind of touched upon the benefits of keto in the beginning on what the insulin levels insulin levels but there are other benefits to keto so it’s some more of the benefits of the keto diet are that it kind of makes you feel less hungry after a while because it suppresses the hunger hormone ghrelin I don’t know but it’s written down below obviously feeling hungry is not a bad thing it’s all about kind of listening to your body and deciding when you actually need to eat or when you’re just mindful mindlessly eating so obviously it’s a benefit but you shouldn’t be scared to ever feel hungry it’s a good thing another benefit is that you will notice you’ll notice weight loss happen really quickly and that is because for one gram of carbs that you consume or have your body holds on to four grams of water so that’s why everyone in the first week following the ketogenic diet notices that going to the bathroom is like five times more than they usually do I definitely did go up throughout the night to pee probably every couple hours super annoying and I noticed like a rapid loss of weight with like within the first week but I was obviously a waterway and then I noticed a lot of weight loss and I kind of went through a point my I lost too much weight I’ll show you some pictures here and then it kind of leveled out so within the three months I lost 14 pounds up and down which was too much weight because I’m in a good range for my way I just kind of wanted to tone up a little bit so that’s a benefit but can also be negative you just kind of need to find where it works best for you you know another good thing about the commuting diet and it has to do with the insulin levels is you’re having less sugar so you’re kind of leveling out your energy you’re having more natural energy throughout the day you’re having natural energy releases these when you’re consuming sugar you’re into the levels of spiking so you’re having kind of a sugar rush and then you have your crash and then you’re going up again and down again and it’s a journey but with the keto diet your level there’s no really up and down I did find that I was relying a little bit more on coffee throughout my experience but that might be purely because I was going to the gym basically every day perhaps not eating enough I think for most people with the keto diet they find that their energy levels are good the whole day which is great you kind of want that you don’t crash it so following the ketogenic diet a lot of people are like well what can you eat like what can’t you eat like what are the rules so basically you can eat anything as long as you keep yourself below 50 grams of carbs per day the easiest way to do this is to cut out I think the things that you naturally think of as carbs so rice bread pasta that type of thing especially simple carbs so like white bread white pasta that I cut out completely from my diet like fries potatoes have any in them in like three months which has been I felt I feel good about it and I’ve cut out whole grain past a whole grain bread because it adds up super quick also kind of the part that I found most difficult is fruit so fruit obviously have carbs in them I love fruit and if I’m not having like sugar fixes throughout the night I find myself craving fruit and that you have to be careful it’s because it adds up quickly another thing that has like quite a lot of carbs a relative amount of a lot of carbs for this diet is like things like carrots and bell peppers and hummus so like a snack that I like to have when I mean like relatively healthy and hummus and carrots that you can’t really have so I replaced that with guacamole and cucumber sounds gross quite nice actually and it’s a good way to get your fat in because obviously you have to have a high fat moderate protein diet and that’s what I struggle the most with is making sure my fat was more than my protein because another way that you can be taken out of ketosis as if you’re consuming too much protein and that’s something I struggled with probably the most besides sugar cravings another thing you can have quite a lot of is dairy so like heavy cream dairy cheese cheeses with my new best friend let me tell you that and obviously meat galore so beef steak anything really chicken prawns a lot of these things are have basically no carbs in them so that’s another way to kind of like you need that to do this diet this time you need the meat or you’re not able to do it um another thing I’ve loved is peanut butter I’ve been having a lot of peanut butters that’s a good way also to get your fat out and it’s moderate protein so it’s good it’s gray it’s fun that’s fresh on this diet as well you’ll notice that skim milk full fat milk all milks have a high percentage of sugar in them so a lot of carbs I don’t drink milk personally like I have a big almond milk fan and that’s something you can have on this diet almond milk is muy bien so that’s fine you can go almond milk another thing that I tried to do the first time around was I try to make fat bombs so I got I bought coconut flour I hate it now it’s in my pantry night I just can’t even look at it but you can make fat bombs I think you can make Reese’s of reasons that I caught like a keto version you can do something like that to replace other things that you make like coconut macaroons to replace your usual desserts it didn’t really work for me personally it just wasn’t for me but it works for a lot of people so with any diet or any that cluster so with any diet or any lifestyle they are obviously gonna be negatives and some the negatives that you could find at the ketogenic lifestyle first of all is that I think restricting any one food group too much can lead to restrictive eating habits and you can kind of fall into a kind of a disordered eating pattern which I kind of struggled with with getting so obsessive with the cards so it wasn’t allowing myself to have fruit lay it was it was a lot of thinking and it’s easy to get really obsessive so I think that’s what any diet even if you’re doing a high carb low fat diet it’s so easy to get into kind of obsessive thinking patterns and eating patterns so that’s something you need to be mindful of whenever you’re kind of changing your lifestyle kind of changing your diet that’s a negative another thing is that fewer carbs aren’t necessarily a good thing especially with athletes you use carbs as like fuel your brain needs sugar to function so with less carbs sometimes people can struggle going to the gym I know people that have tried the congenic diet so Michael Finch for example said he loved the diet but because he’s going to the gym so often he struggled with the diet and that’s why it wasn’t maybe the best match for him and I can totally see that and I think that’s why I was relying on so much from coffee to give me energy to go to the gym so that’s just something to bear in mind so kind of the last biggest negative I think is that many of the foods that make up the ketogenic diet high in saturated fats and the meats like red meat there’s a lot of studies have proven that’s not the best for you bacon for example as a carcinogenic which causes cancer and that’s something a lot of people have in the ketogenic diet and I definitely did I’ve cut it out now just because I didn’t like the way it made me feel but those types of things that you kind of have to rely on in a ketogenic diet aren’t necessarily the best for you obviously it levels up because you could have healthy fats avocado for example a great healthy fat but some of the fats you will have like beef red meat like I said this won’t necessarily be the best for you so you know so basically kind of how I found this whole experience I’ve enjoyed it like cutting simple carbs out of my diet I really enjoyed not consuming pet-store not consuming rice not having bread because those are all like fries and potatoes those are all things like a like abundance before and I think I feel better now I feel more leveled I just feel happy you’re not having those things in my diet so I’ve kind of i’ve thrived off of not eating those things that’s been good and I definitely was overeating pasta in my day to day life so cutting that out I’ve seen like a great improvement in kind of my energy how I feel you know it’s been great like I said before I didn’t enjoy being restricted on how much fruit I can eat and I didn’t enjoy house sure I didn’t enjoy how stressed I became about eating fruit I don’t think that’s healthy I think you should ever feel stressed obviously should be mindful but I was getting like worked up about it you know that guy was I can’t have that kind of that so I think that’s kind of not the best another thing people find is that key to the keto diet might not be necessarily the most sociable diet I didn’t really struggle with that too much only with like drinking and that’s why I kind of failed you the first few times you know but like when I go out with people and I’ll just have a diet coke which some people say you shouldn’t have the ketogenic diet I did you know sue me but definitely it was an issue or like a little bit annoying when they would come with like the guy’s fears and then there would be like chips and sugary candies that they would give you and I just was like I can’t have this like bring me some cucumber and a burger like I cannot have this but overall wasn’t the end of the world you know another struggle was making sure I was eating more fat than protein that was just personally for me I don’t know if other people would struggle with that but it’s definitely something you need to be mindful of another thing I really enjoyed was that I definitely have learned so much over the past 3 months like I’ve learned so much about nutrition I’ve learned so much about my body I’ve learned so much about like even working out I feel like I’ve just learned so much I’m definitely more going to explore mindful eating and intuitive eating I just feel like learn a lot about my buddy it’s been great a little bit stressful so I’m like there’s so much I don’t know there’s so many different conflicting things that you’ll read online but for me I think it’s all about listening to your body and kind of finding out what works best for you and the keto diet has worked great for me I think personally definitely also learned that I use sweet foods desserts I like chocolate things like that as a mood enhancer which you want to move away from I think you food great you can enjoy actually something you enjoy but you shouldn’t be that shouldn’t be your social aspect shouldn’t be something you rely on to have fun you know and that’s something I’m kind of trying to change every single day and that’s just something I learned about myself as well so my final thoughts on the keto diet is that it’s great to be more conscious of what you’re putting into your body the keto diet does that because you want to track your carbs you have to to enter ketosis I learned that in a tablespoon or a teaspoon of oil it’s like 20 calories in the tablespoon it’s around 40 calories and that’s something I’ve never tracked before and I did that the second time around and you know it’s just small things like that you forget about like how much sugars in ketchup I learned that as well so you’re learning so much and I think that’s always good you should always be trying and striving to learn more well I’m gonna follow the ketogenic diet now I think the next thing I’m gonna do is cut sugar for 30 days just kind of to see how that goes but I would definitely follow the strict ketogenic diet a month leading up to a vacation to months leading up to a vacation you know because it helps you drop that water away and I think it’s just it made us give you good leveled energy but like I said I miss having fruit and I miss kind of I don’t want to restrict how much fruit I have enough something I struggled with so in the future I probably one I’ll probably get have more than 50 car grams of carbs a day and I won’t be right myself or be annoyed at myself for doing that another negative was that my skin actually for a cow I wouldn’t naturally got really clear skin I don’t usually get pimples or sports my skin they only show my skin is like it gets a bit red but that’s because I’m pale um but I broke out really badly because I was having more fact that my body was used to especially when I was having bacon within the first week about four or five days in I broke out around here it just wasn’t nice I found my skin was more oily and I’ve naturally got quite early skin so it wasn’t great overall I would definitely recommend this diet to try just for fun and to see how you like it it’s a fun but not fun but it’s interesting but I definitely would recommend this diet to someone who doesn’t maybe it isn’t exercising every day kind of just wants to have a lifestyle overhaul I think it’s a good way to lead into healthier eating habits and do it for a month and then like gradually don’t restrict yourself as much I would recommend it I think in general I will continue to cut the carbs out especially simple carbs like bread past all that stuff fries I don’t need it in my body it’s not really doing anything for me so I will continue to cut that out it’s just something I enjoy doing yeah that was my month technically about three months but my consecutive 30 days on the ketogenic diet I’m gonna now let you guys kind of watch my progress see how it happened there’s clips of like my weight loss throughout the month I’ve included like a typical day in my life of eating on the ketogenic diet I mean you’ll see just watch it anyway I hope you enjoyed the video and definitely different nutrition like I’ve just learned I’ve learned a lot and I’ve kind of it’s struggled a little bit just knowing like it’s just it’s just the little things that you forget about like you can’t catch up the oil that you’re cooking weighs like everything you need to be mindful of everything basically and so I thought I would give you guys just an example of a day of eating for me and give you guys some ideas so for breakfast I usually have and I’ve now recently been introducing because I usually have egg whites I’ve been having some with the yoke as well the orc makes me feel sick that’s why I don’t have it my notes super good for you a lot of benefits it has that I don’t know how to perhaps its charleen I’ll leave it there but that basically makes you feel fuller for longer kind of suppresses hunger so it’s good to have I like to get green veggies in in the morning it makes me feel better it makes it feel productive so I have some broccoli and I have two pieces of bacon I’m not a huge bacon lover I’ve never really eaten Macon before I started doing Aikido and then I’m sorry Aikido and I was like oh this is something I can have it’s like fun a bit you know unhealthy so I’ve been having to be slim akin but I’ve stopped that the last couple weeks I just it just made me feel about Whaley I don’t know I’ve liked having my breakfast without the bacon yeah that’s typical breakfast for me next so real unch I like to have kind of a stir fry something nice another egg you know love my eggs so I have zucchini broccoli egg mushroom and have it mr. fry I’ll use a little bit of soy sauce not too much because it does have a high sugar content so you need to be once again mindful of that but it does adds a little bit of something you know that we lunch and then for dinner so for dinner I can have you know asparagus for some shrimp and zucchini again a little bit of lime on the shrimp something really yummy or I’m really loving burgers wrapped in lettuce that’s like crack cocaine to me gonna say oh obsessed but that’s basically what I eat in a day I’ll have like a snack throughout the day so I’ll have like a dairy Lee cheese thing you know what that is but yeah it’s been it’s been good it’s been a struggle finding and balancing like okay so this is how much room I can have like I’ve told you guys before I miss eating for it so tonight like when you want something sweet that’s like my biggest struggle but overall it’s been okay oh I also have coffee I have a lot of caffeine I have a coffee probably two coffees a day so yeah that’s what kind of a typical day of eating is like for me you can do more varieties I also like to do like tacos but wrapped in lettuce again and meaning anything basically that you have an abundant of the carbs replaces lettuce and you’re good to go that’s another thing I like to eat that’s like today in life also obviously having a lot of water like water water water eating my breakfast so my breakfast is three egg whites and broccoli half a thing of broccoli and then I’m having a tea slim drink not like at a slim like a white loss to drink like it’s like pineapple and green tea and stuff and then after this I’m gonna have my Bondi coffee I’m having that for seven days just like kicks like this and then we’re gonna go Jim then struggling but I did have pasture last night January 1st last time I’m gonna have cards okay so I’ve got back from the gym I did 200 calories on the elliptical and now I’m eating dinner which is a mushroom chicken half and half a chicken breast some red peppers and yellow pepper and rocket and then a tiny bit of balsamic vinegar okay so I’m about to eat dinner on my second day and I’ve just figured out my total carbs for the day and I can’t have like my little sweet treat I got for after dinner cuz it’s too many carbs so then I thought I’ll just up some hummus and carrots but carrots have too many carbs as well because I can’t have more than 50 grams and red pepper yellow pepper green pepper have a lot of carbs this I’m having for dinner and hopefully I can find something to eat after dinner but if not hungry hey guys it’s January 7th and I’ve been eating keto for six days so happy six days I have had a slight break out here and here look around my chin area I don’t know if that has anything to keto or if that means I’ve just used a different face mask recently so that could have been why but today yesterday I woke up and had like my heart was racing like crazy like I couldn’t even get out of bed I like I felt like I was gonna be sick I don’t know if that was the keto flu if I didn’t have enough calories sorry I’m recording this on the iPad or if I didn’t have enough calories before I’m not sure that was awful I felt so bad so today I’m having like so then yesterday I ate a burger for lunch with the lettuce like that dinner I had the oven I and then I made some vanilla cookies it’s like keto ones they’re really yummy and now I’m having breakfast against I’m having three egg whites and broccoli and two slices of bacon living my best life and then I’m gonna go to the gym but I quickly check back in I feel like I have lost some white I think it’s water white obviously I feel better in myself I feel I gonna becoming more tired I don’t know I’ll keep you guys updated and I’ll check you check back in later with get some video I just thought I would quickly pop on the iPad yeah get have breakfast now but okay so I’m coming to you live from my kitchen slash living room in Madrid and it is now January 14th so I’m almost halfway through my first month of Quito and I thought this would be like the perfect time to check in because I got my period on Thursday night when I sleep at Jane Lynch my dad’s birthday happy birthday dad and then I kind of like just I just didn’t really Dukey died I kind of like gave up but I didn’t so basically I’ll talk you through what I yeah so come to the airport Thursday and had a vanilla latte from Starbucks which was like 3 grams of carbs in it because it’s a sugar-free 1 and then plus if I see the milk and then when I arrived in London I didn’t eat I had two boiled eggs and then we went out to dinner had sushi I had a couple pieces of sushi that like had rocks in it so I just kind of gave up I’ve had like two pieces of like mini chocolate things and the next day got up had a meeting and then I had a vanilla latte and then I had just chocolate so like it wasn’t great it wasn’t great and then I said so my periods as grumpy its bit of a disaster now I’m back in Madrid and I started keto again yesterday so it’s like set myself back but I didn’t eat horrific ly so I don’t know like I’ll have to raise that keto but besides that my time has entrie aliy changed that much so today I started the day with three egg whites and two pieces of bacon usually I broccoli as well but my pan wasn’t clean and we had a no dish water tablet so amazing thanks awesome and then I had my coffee and I went to the gym and I just did my usual it took all I did like 160 calories and then I’m gonna go smite with jive I’m gonna make keno buffalo wings tonight I made sure this is reporting I don’t I just think if I’m recording I think say yeah I was recording so it’s not gonna make kita buffalo wings for the first time which is exciting I’m gonna try and then have celery peanut butter on the side I was gonna get some potatoes to make wedges for jive but he said try to eat like he’s trying to eat the same things as me when he’s home and on work overall though so far and I’ve been keeping my diary which obviously not included the clips you guys have seen of me throughout the couple this first couple weeks and I’m feeling I’m feeling okay it’s weird like I wasn’t sleeping well but I had so much energy like I was going to the gym and I was loving it so I think like and also because you you guys have heard my intro like how I didn’t really eat during the day I did enough energy and then 8:00 at night binge now that I have like help set things like meeting I think my energy levels have improved so much I’ve toned up you guys have seen like the one week update and I have an update for you guys next Monday with how my body looks though I’m sure see my look around about the same I think I’ve gone through you know that fat bush I’ll include like a picture of it exciting it here where I think my fat cells have depleted but because that is such a stubborn thing to lose it’s filled up with water again some people think it’s real some people don’t there some like professors like I’ll include them for here and I’ll link in my bio to explain in the fatwa SH but I think that’s what’s happened because my fat but my fat that I do have has gotten softer like more jiggly almost which is like obviously not ideal but hopefully in the next couple weeks I’ll say that gone and it’ll be gone for good next of all weeks couple months whatever miss life I’m feeling good I’m happy to do back on track that I’m keeping track with my macros again I think that’s about it for the check in well so I want to say I think that’s about it yeah die fourteen I’ll see you guys next week I might do check-in now every single Monday until the end of this month and we’ll see how I get how I get on I guess I hope everyone is having a great time and I will talk to you guys again later oh and I’ll let you know how the buffalo key direction on this guy I’ve also been making I’m sure if I’ve mentioned peanut butter and vanilla cookies like II know once I said coconut flour the peanut butter ones were gross the vanilla ones were nicer but still just like no I didn’t really like them the actual idea of them for a little while made me feel sick don’t do something I’ll make again but I’ll keep trying anyway okay I’m gonna go now I’m going to put the dishwasher on and I’m going to take my dog for a walk and I will see you guys next week baby okay so it is January its January 17th so yesterday was my two weeks eating in Quito eating Quito following the keto diet whatever and I thought today I was kind of in a funk yesterday I didn’t feel too good just like not in a good mood so I didn’t film yesterday but I thought today I could try and make coconut macaroons like following a keto recipe and they’ll be fun if I filmed it with you guys we can kind of see how it goes because both times that I’ve tried to make you know dessert like the cookies it was like disgusting it’s not nice so I thought let me try this because I love coconut like let’s just have some fun let’s see if I can do it any other updates I’ve been to the gym today I feel like I’ve kind of hit a plateau let me see I lost water weight the past couple weeks so I was really really good and now I’m kind of like stuck but just need to get there just need to power on by going to the movies tomorrow so I thought I’d try to make the cap coconut macaroons tonight it’s like a brain to the movies with me tomorrow have a little sweet treat have some fun so let’s get cracking the first thing and you should heat the oven to 163 degrees Celsius [Music] okay so hitting the oven the next thing is to do is get two egg whites and beat them until they are like stiff so basically if I tilt the bowl over it doesn’t move that much and it’s not running at all I don’t actually have a whisk I went to get one today at like a supermarket and I forgot I also couldn’t find any coconut flakes I’ve got coconut flour so I’m gonna kind of sprinkle that huh I know we’ll see how it goes but I’m going to whisk the eggs myself by hand with a fork um we’ll see how that how I get on if not I’ll just have to order a whisk and try again when it arrives but let’s get the egg whites and two large egg whites and I’m a bit of a pro in getting egg whites because I have egg whites every morning so okay so hi hi you guys see me I don’t know this is embarrassing this is the height of failure I guess you’re looking at failure in the face I failed with Kido I had my friend I flew back to England to get these bad boys filled and I met up with some friends that was fine ate like chocolate when I was at my dad’s house he had like a big boxes like cream eggs and like twirl and all kind of lost myself and then I went back to my mom’s house my friend Joey came up she was flying with me to Madrid the next day and we just got like wasted white-girl wasted I don’t know whatever you want to call it and then Joey and I in Madrid just like had a good time enjoyed ourselves I even ate a lasagna fool and I didn’t go gym I felt like that was self explanatory and then Joey left and I kind of got back from the fitness Hut for a couple days just doing ok and then drives brother let me check the business building it was it was smelling okay southern Joe’s brother and his girlfriend came they were staying with us and like it was another big fat sale so it was like an eighth day there was night daytime of like me kind of like failing at life so I’m getting include quickly now a picture of me for my first three weeks from Quito from like where I was to where I ended up and now I’m gonna just reset so I’ve been go good really strong for four days I’ve been killing it in gym I’m going hard in the neighbor look at me Who am I I’ve literally been killing it in the gym I’ve just go back from the gym hence why I look like this and I’m just gonna reset and I guess I’ll check back in a little bit more I’m flying to England tomorrow because I’ve been invited to try a dinner at the steak and lobster place but that’s gonna be like a test I’m just gonna get stuck in some green veggies and joke and like gorge he can do what he wants so I’ve got that this weekend and then I’ve got something else I’ve got an event coming up in Makiki and Mayfair I’ve got a few things coming up but besides that this month should be quite easy to stick to it time around as well I think I will just keep you guys updated on what I eat day-to-day because like through trial and tribulation at the same I don’t know three like trial and error there you go I discovered like making they like fat bombs making like the keto macaroons the Kido cookies it just didn’t really work for me coconut flour now repulses mate so sorry that was gross but it does so I think this time around I’m just gonna like I work best if I’m following like a strict routine if there’s even like five percent leeway I take it and run with it eventually I work best for myself um like a straight day today pattern I think that’s why I struggled the most when I go back to England because in my head I’m like have a life doesn’t count right now but guess what bitch it counts counts on my thighs and it counts up here so I’m just getting this like following a stricter tape so what I’ve been doing like this week is I wake up yeah another day and I have four egg whites and three egg whites I have four usually at 3:00 and I a quarter of an avocado or half an avocado depending on how I feel and I have to slice in the bacon and I have a Clementine because I’m having some type of that to nine grams of sugar like of carb it’s my grams of carbs its dietary sugar carbs so you can only have up to 20 grams of that but I think it’s worth it like I like to have the Clementine in the morning and it’s next to feel better I like for I’m a health queen I don’t know I and then after that I have tea I don’t know something to give me some energy maybe a coffee Who am I kidding it’s a Red Bull no sometimes oh yes really like cheese either have a big event literally cheese and I’ll have celery and peanut butter and then Joe comes home and I’ll have dinner and dinners different each day last night I had a keto burger so I’ve got like mushroom asparagus freakin love asparagus and today’s Valentine’s Day but I’m sticking to keto sticking to it hard anyway yeah so it’s just like a brief rundown but we’re back you’re gonna go harder than ever and we’re gonna see the improvement okay good bye okay so I didn’t go to the gym this morning but I’m on the plane now heading to London so I’m gonna weigh myself and do a workout by 8:00 fine this morning I made Joe breakfast and also guys I don’t so it’s Saturday now when I got to England yesterday I did a workout did my Prem fit thing so I’ll keep you guys updated on that and I ain’t really well I didn’t drink at the wine tasting it was all it was a good day it’s really good day probably had too many fruits sugars so I think I went over the 20 grams that’s fine I’m okay with that and then today I’ve just finished a workout I just finished a workout and I am going to that dinner I’ve been invited to tonight but I’m just gonna try my hardest stick to it as much as I can yeah going good adjust the back from the gym I’ve kind of changed my workout routine I finally have like the confidence to use the weight machines by myself so added that in and I’ve also added the stair climber and I think that’s going to like be the final push I need because I’ve just stuck home like the last like five pounds I kind of need to lose and that’s always how it’s been I’ve always have like five pounds that are so tough to lose yeah I haven’t found myself missing chips fries anything like that I just find myself missing like sweet food at the end of the night so like chocolate donuts I miss donuts a lot all i watch on youtube is people eating donuts um but like when i got for dinner and i like get a steak and veggies and then they come with like a portion of fries i give it to my boyfriend and I’m like not missing out on it I don’t really care about it um and I’m not struggling with that pasta I made it keto lasagna last night when we use like courgette zucchini sliced it and like you said as the pasta oh my god it was like the best thing ever yeah I haven’t found myself missing like traditional carbs I do miss fruit I really struggle with not being able to eat a lot of fruit I did recently find up for one gram of carbs that you have apparently your body holds like four grams of water that’s why you lose so much water weight on keto and that’s why I’m always going to the bathroom so I’m gonna slowly introduce once this like week is over and I’ve done the month like I’m gonna start eating fruit probably go over my net carbs like how many carbs I can have with fruit just because I’ve missed Burton I like eating fruit and then two weeks before I gotta make and also gonna cut for you again because I want to be not holding water and my body retains water a lot I’ve got really nice relation I’ve just I just I get puffy release like I’m puffy right now but that’s because I’ve just gone to the gym and I’m tired anyway that’s about it for the check-in I will talk to you guys later okay hi guys um first of all you may be wondering why do I have sunglasses on my head but I’m inside just because my hair is really greasy and I haven’t washed it for like four days might be I don’t know queen of hyejung and I know I do shower every day by the way just don’t wash my hair every day and I thought I’d put sunglasses on to distract from how crazy my hair is so hello it is my final week my final check-in I guess kind of before I mean I might check in throughout the week but I don’t know if I will I have quality check-ins for you guys some food updates and I’ve been eating but this I guess is the last sit down chat let’s find a week I’m feeling good feeling all right feeling fresh just the back from England I didn’t go to the gym miles in England I went for a couple runs and then it just kind of went sideways you know I feel like I have such a healthy mindset when I’m in Madrid as soon as I go back to England everything just goes down the drain and it doesn’t help that they have the cream eggs out in England right now oh they’re so good it’s such like a chocolate person it’s just been it was a little bit of a struggle um don’t know why I’m out of breath and just I need a second um yeah I don’t I don’t know I struggles with going to the gym and stuff but I’m back in Madrid now like it’s all good all good in the hood like let’s just keep going um I think with this final week I’m like I kind of don’t want it to end like I think I’ve been reflecting and I think I’m gonna continue on with the keto diet but I’m gonna be a little bit less strict so maybe I won’t necessarily go into ketosis because I’m not going to track carbs with fruit I’m still gonna be like mindful of how much sugar I’m having it with the fruit but I don’t want to stress myself out eating fruit and that’s what’s kind of happy enough kind of started being like oh I thought I’ve had ten grapes today with breakfast and I’ve had like ten raspberries now I must be over like I don’t want to stress my with fruit because I want to enjoy fruit its fruit like I shouldn’t have to be stressed so I’m gonna kind of relax on that but I’m still gonna follow like no past I know bread like the basic carbs that you think of when you first hear the word carb that’s what I’m not gonna be eating I just don’t feel good when I eat it I feel slow I don’t feel my best and it shows in my face it shows in my hands my ankles I retain water really easily and like hot and I don’t like the best way to not retain water it’s do not have the carbs because for every gram of carbs you have you retain four grams of water I’m pretty sure don’t quote me on next I could have made that up but I definitely have read that somewhere um what else has been happening let me think I know I wanted to say so following with like I started this in January now it’s obviously March so I had a bit of a fall as you guys would have heard about but in general I started this with such a different mindset I’ll talk more about this in the beginning of the videos you might have already seen this but I had such a different mindset going into this I wanted to be healthy I wanted to kind of kickstart like a healthy year feeling good feeling best this is gonna be my year and so far like 2019 has been amazing like a great year so far and during this journey because the keto diet is so strict and you have to be on the ball like you have to know what you’re putting in your body I’ve learned so much about nutrition about I’ve learned so much from doing all this research and then like I learned more things every single day and I’ve learnt to like listen to my body a bit more and more intuitive with what I eat at like I’ve just done kind of like a whole revamp of how I think and stuff and I’m not just talking about like food wise but like my whole like person out not personality my whole like mindset of life and stuff has changed like I feel like I’m more of a positive person I’ve done a lot of reflection a lot of meditating like I’m becoming more spiritual I guess you could say but not necessarily that like I just become heaps more aware of myself oh like literally having breath I just feel like I’ve really gotten to know myself better and I just have a lot of reflecting and like a big thing for me he’s been cutting out alcohol I think I’ve drank in the past three months like five times tops probably less like three or four times I just don’t like alcohol I don’t like what it does to people makes me I get an interest around alcohol sometimes um I don’t know weird relationship with it I don’t know but I’d like tried to cut it out and I think the rest of the year I’m gonna be teetotal I just kind of enjoy being in the right frame of mind the whole time I want to make the most of each day and I feel like good and I’m drunk I can’t do that so it’s been it’s been nice not drinking and it means I set limits for myself because what I’m not drinking I’m I know what I’m doing and not going crazy I don’t know it’s been it’s been nice and another thing I’ve completely changed just like the way I look at things so instead of like looking at the negatives of life and being like oh this sucks I’m like oh well actually that’s a positive I can take from this situation so when I was flying back from England this weekend my flight ended up being delayed for like an hour and then the flight ends up not being able to land like the crew they weren’t able to learn to Stansted so they flew to Gatwick and then like two hours later they told us actually you’re gonna be flying from Gatwick this evening instead of now so it supposed to fight like 2:00 p.m. and ended up the flight is opinion to 7 p.m. at Gatwick so it’s gonna bust you get work the bus didn’t leave until like 7 o’clock or 8 o’clock even from Stansted so we missed that fly so we didn’t end up flying home until about 12 I think this flight left apps that’s like eight hours later than I was supposed to and I ends up landing in Madrid at 3 a.m. and it was just kind of a hot mess to be honest and instead of me being like oh my god this sucks like my life can’t be bland it’s like Baba or itself complaining I’ve kind of thought my head like actually I should be grateful everyone’s landed okay the weather was horrible it was so windy and we still managed to fly that same day I still managed to like basically get home the same day you know so I was grateful that I was able to even fly that day and didn’t have to rebook fly it’s like it wasn’t a stress I bought a book at the airport read that I had a good time you know so I was really grateful and just like I make sure not to dwell on the positives not to say the positives I make sure not to dwell on the negatives and like I make sure not to say negative things anymore I try and say like maybe limit myself to saying three negative things or complain about three things and I’m like I want to completely change my lifestyle because the energy I put into the universe I get back tenfold like any time I’ve done anything bad in my life karma has like come back harder than ever like I feel like I understand anything I puts the universe I get back so I want to put positive things in the universe I want to be like a nicer person we want to be a better person so self growth self growth yes self-worth what else has been well so I thought I would touch on this briefly just because I was beckoning that I had a chance to weigh myself so I think when I started this after Christmas and after my birthday I weighed probably I weighed probably 115 pounds and five-foot-three at 115 pounds is like the highest I’ve ever weighed I probably weighed maybe hundred 1514 I don’t know but that’s like the highest I’ve never been heavy like I’ve never been overweight I’ve always been like very average – like slim but my body type is that I might slim fat like I don’t have any muscle so I’m skinny but I have fat like it’s obvious like I don’t have any much homes at all and that’s like super something my biggest ones just coming up that’s like my biggest insecurity basically and through following the keto diet I’ve become so much more aware of like protein how that affects I of building like and going to the gym what is actually wasting my time is doing 45 minutes on the elliptical and then 15 minutes on the stair climber than 15 minutes on the bike is that really doing anything besides like making me I don’t know like it’s not it wasn’t changing my body shape and I think I’ve realized you have to use like I can’t be scared to use weights because I’m scared to look muscly like that’s like something I need to work through so following this like ketogenic diet I’ve learned so much more about body like about working out about bodies about like every I’m just like so much basically like a wealth of knowledge and there’s all I think everyday I learned something else like this I’m there’s so much I don’t know but I know a lot more than I used to basically but yes I started this way and I think that got under 15 pounds the lowest I cut down to is probably like 104 pounds and then I am now somewhere like 107 106 pounds I think and I’m just trying to find what feels best for my body like what weight do I want to stick around like when do I feel my best look my best so you to summarize let me wrap this up so we can get going and see like see how the week progresses I’ve just been loving it I will keep you guys updated obviously new foods I’ve been eating different things I’ve found that are like delicious and work well that’s about it I think I will check back in with you guys throughout the week so yeah I will check my thing with you guys later I guess I will see you guys later this week bye okay so I guess the Quito video is over um this is like my last day I feel great feel good and feel feel toned um I’m gonna include some pictures I think you don’t have seen them anyway but I’ll just include the quick kind of before-and-after shots so this is kind of I’ve timed up for sure dropped some away obviously you guys saw I dropped a little bit too much weight but overall leveled out and just want to keep toning up and I want to keep feeling good um like I said I’m going to start eating like it’s not as much fruit as I want but more fruit and stuff I’m not going to be so concerned with making sure I have like kept underneath the 50 grams of carbs so that’s all good yeah I’m stopping these videos over I feel like it went on such a journey I hope you guys liked it I
