Oh [Music] Kito Clarice here and right now I’m going to just cover a few snacks that are mmm so good and and the problem with if you’re cooking very much keto food at a time you’re gonna get so full and you just can’t eat very much because the fat fills you up you stay full longer therefore you eat less awesome because you’re cutting out a lot of things that you don’t crave so what I have here is we’re going to make some hope you know poppers I’ve already cleaned these out these are pretty strong when we were cleaning these out everybody in the rooms are coughing and they stayed there for a while so we’re going to fill those with some cream cheese salt pepper I’m going to make that right here I’m going to show you while this is cooking we’re gonna also do bacon-wrapped dill pickles we’re gonna get these in the oven first because it’s going to take them a little bit of time to cook so to begin with I’m going to get some cream cheese I’m gonna this is eight ounces of Philly cream cheese and I’m going to take a half of one because of the amount of pepper so stuff here I’m going to take about half so I’ll be using four ounces of the cream cheese use this later so I’ll just set it right here we’re going to use some pink Himalayan salt I love this stuff put some in there mix it all up I’m going to use some pepper if you if you want and you have you can use fresh ground and just grind it up yourself right in there and let’s see I need some garlic I’m just gonna put depends on how much you want taste the garlic you’re gonna want all cooks together it’s gonna be so awesome so I am going to this is gonna mash it and mix it all together really nicely my ovens already on I put it on 425 because when we wrapped the pickles with the bacon the Bacon’s got to cook and I’ve already got my warming and I’ve got my seat oh I’m just mashing that together and it just mixes the cream cheese I guess if you really wanted to you could get your mixture on but for such a small amount I don’t need to do that but you can see it’s just mixing everything up nicely and this like I said these are snacks so sometimes maybe you mid-afternoon you might you might feel like you need something and what a lot of people say is to eat and I don’t like the name of this fat boss people have been trained to think that that is bad and therefore that doesn’t make them want to eat a fat bum I’m renaming them keto candy okay cute okay so we’ll talk about how you can do so later on I’ve got it lined with the parchment paper makes cleanup so much easier I’m gonna take the health we know poppers and I am gonna use my knife now we are going to just fill in the rest I’ll set up here while I’m filling the rest of them and these obviously are going to be when you’re home when you are on the run let me give you some other ideas as I have here you can make peanut butter make sure that the peanut brother that you get is sugar-free because most of them put sugar in it this is a sugar free and what you do when you’re traveling let me show you if you want to flip some of these in a plastic bag you just put them back to back like this whoops put them in the plastic bag and then they’re ready for you to pull apart and eat when you want later on like if you’re on the run and then you have the keto and you’re following the healthy tradition that we’re trying to get you to get into and it takes care of hunger so you don’t need to grab whatever it is you grab whether it’s chips popcorn candy heaven forbid and we’re going to be dipping the bacon wrapped pickles yeah a dressing that we’re going to be making and this obviously like I said it’s going to be when you’re home maybe when you’re having people over you can make quarterhorse they don’t they won’t even know that this is keto you don’t have to tell them they’re gonna love the taste because like I said if it doesn’t taste good I’m not wasting time to me because I have to count everything that have any carbohydrates and I’m just not going to waste what may be but I eat on things that I don’t like you think that makes a lot of sense probably what the little kids are thinking too and you’re trying to make them either vegetables but we’ll work with that later on okay so so this take about 15-20 minutes to cook based off of the on the bacon part you want that bacon to be done okay there we go so the jalapeno poppers done I’m going to wrap the thickened okay oh okay you just I’m not done with these either we’re gonna wrap some meat now when you go and and you’re choosing your meat out at the store a lot of your lunch meats have sugar in them so you need to be aware of that and you need to find some that are not Boar’s Head has a wonderful meat selection that is really good and I got some that doesn’t have any of the I’m gonna tuck that in underneath so when it cooks it stays put [Music] okay my lunch meat here that we are gonna wrap around the coppers we’re going to take this and wrap it around to the poppers so it’s gonna be like a yummy snack [Music] let me get these in the oven really quickly so let’s go into you know I cannot cut up these are so easy I’m gonna cut the ends and I’m just gonna cut slices your covers are awesome to use that’s what pickles come from and what we’re gonna do I’m just gonna Pat it dry a little bit yeah I’m just gonna Pat and dry because I’m gonna put cream cheese we’re gonna make a cucumber cream cheese sandwich you ever have one of those that’s a little snack and they’re easy I’m just trying to soak up the excess liquid from that really juicy it we can smell it mmm mmm cucumber how many people don’t like cucumber lotion see I’m just patting see how wet it is can you see that see the shine I’m just patting it dry because I want the if you don’t the cream cheese will just kind of slide off and it will help hard time stain so I just pet it dry now you can garnish these as well and you can even use these for like we talked about when you have friends over as a hors d’oeuvre okay there we go and we’re going to we’re gonna cut a little slice you can whip it up if you’d like I like to kind of a little look there that it gives it and you’re just gonna slide it on look how easy that is now if you want to sandwich obviously you’re gonna get another one and put on top there you go you got a cucumber cream cheese sandwich if you want to serve the open-faced and you don’t have to measure the cream cheese you can do it that way and then you can put a little bit of let’s try some dill some sort of doing Gil pickles make any young we’ll just put a little bit of on there that is and the thing is the herbs that you’re using to garnish are gonna just add flavor that’s all and it’s play around see which ones you like the best and I challenge you to grow some in your you know theirs they have these little grow boxes that you can put under your sink and they can grow right there I have mine out my sliding door I can just go out and cut off whatever I need because I’m always doing that and I keep them very well stocked because I love them and then in the winter I go through withdrawals although you can go to the stores like I did this time and got some of this that are purchased but they’re still fresh one more like this oh okay there we go look sounds just made in a snack made in just a few minutes so we’ve got some snacks here we’ve got your peanut butter and celery right here and we’re going to make the dip now for what we’re gonna dip these in okay so now we are making the dip it’s called Green Goddess dip we’re making it for to dip our wonderful snaps let’s just say go quick look at that can you see that I can hardly wait hmm get the heat back in there so these are all the ingredients for the green goddess dressing we’ve got pepper Himalayan I’m telling you that’s the best I’ve got garlic vinegar apple cider vinegar I’ve got brother ah lemon juice and mayo and so I’ve got the male already in here I’ve got 2 tablespoons of bone broth we’re adding in there I’ve got 2 tablespoons vinegar we’re adding in there and then I’ve got 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and then we’re going to put a teaspoon of all the garlic or it’s about a teaspoon and there and I need to put some herbs so I just look mmm smell it it’s so yummy and it gives it such a wonderful taste do charge you get you got the mince up the other herbs really small I’m gonna get some pepper in here you know and by the way you don’t want to buy your dressings from the store I’m just telling you it takes a long time to find any dressing that tastes good that doesn’t have sugar in it I trust me I’ve done it and I challenge you when you go look look at the ingredients of the the foods that you’re buying the the spices what what do they have in there so with this up so it’s really useful to get some really good dressing recipes that you can whip up yourself over off goes into just about any one of them I get organic bone broths chicken bone broth and if you can see that’s a little bit thinner than I like it so I am going to add a little bit more Mayo to head up a little bit that’s the beauty of cooking you just take a look you think once want that a little bit thicker and then you add a little bit more this so it stays you want to stay on your bacon wrapped pickles I’m gonna leave that in there in case after I witness up it’s not as thick as I you can see it’s a little bit thicker I can taste the vinegar the lemon juice mm-hmm I didn’t like that hmm I’ve got the sorry that I’ve already had three chopped and I got it so cream cheese again who doesn’t love cream cheese [Music] now you can make this as yummy as you want you can put whatever kind of herbs on top look at that I mean you can make it as fancy as you want and just take the knife and go along the edge so that it is there you go so you’ve got the peanut butter celery you’ve got cream cheese and like I said you can put let me get the peanut butter it’s kind of sliding off the ones that I put together there for you but you can do whatever kind of bird I just cut some of this up quick if you want it as a garnishment like on your eggs or something you want to stay in a bigger leave but if you’re using it as that you wanted to eat and you’ll taste the flavor you want it to be a little bit smaller see how beautifully this okay there we go now we are going to depends on how much you want you can just put it at one end or you can do a little kind of throughout [Music] so it really looks pretty for our d’oeuvres you know you can put make him on there you can put whatever you want okay so I think that the poppers are done when I think that the bacon needs a little bit more time so we’re gonna pull it poppers out and to the make it back [Music] look how beautiful those aren’t so I’m going to get these back in look at that look at those poppers can you see those [Music] there you go look at that so here we go you want ahead look at that how pretty that is and yummy and then we’ll have some bacon wrap that we can add there in just a moment let’s check it out okay so remember the bacon does not have to be as dark or as crispy as when you are crumbling it to put on in a salad or on top of something you want it to be soft but it’s got to be cooked all the way and that is still cooking so we will be back in just a moment and we’re putting that out of the oven I’m just going to get this ready for us to survive so I’ve played it this as you can see and I decided to get some tomatoes on there it kind of helps give it a little bit of color as far as presentation goes I would do a lot more but this was just last minute and just showing you i put the dressing in two separate containers so if you were having two people or two people you want to have they’re all because you’re probably going to want to double dip this is you know you’d only get one end of it in and so you want to be able to taste this flavor on all of them so you want to double dip so you want to get some small containers that you can put it in now I think that the bacon and they can wrap pickles here we come you see that parchment paper is going to make the cleanup so easy okay so that is about if you’re cooking any soft bacon that’s what it would be cooked as I know your mouth is watering and I know you want to know what this tastes like if you have if you don’t already know why look how pretty they are I’m gonna put a couple on our plate here for presentation purposes let’s see there we go put one of these over here kind of between there there you go you’ve got orders snacks and fast things that you can put in a baggie like the sandwiches put the cream cheese together just like you did the peanut butter and you’re off and you’re good also a really good thing to take with you is boiled eggs they’re feeling they’ve got some protein they’ve got a little bit of fat and they’ll you’re good for a snack anyway here you go for your snacks and we’ll be back later
