hey everyone welcome back today I’m gonna talk about my Quito experience and for those of you kiddo girls and guys out there would leave in brief kiddo you’re probably not gonna like this video because I don’t think either is for everyone and based on my experience it is not suitable for me and yeah today I’m gonna talk about my experience the pros and also the cons let’s start with my Quito experience first so the first time I try Quito was somewhere in mid-november and I tried it for four weeks so that was last year so by mid-december I stopped Quito because I went to Japan and it’s just pretty impossible to sustain keto diet when you’re traveling especially when you’re in Asian countries because there’s lots of rice dishes it’s also sweet and I’m a sucker of just Japanese sweets so it’s just impossible for me okay so to start off this video I need to explain what a keto diet is in case if you don’t know so a kilo diet is basically a low carb high fat and moderate protein diet and when I say – it’s pretty high in fat and on the other hand intermittent fasting is actually not a diet is a way of eating so I don’t want you guys to get confused about that so you can be doing keto diet and intermittent passing at the same time so the reason why I decided to start keto was because I’ve heard quite a lot of good things about how it is beneficial for the hormones especially if you get a really bad cramps and all of that sorry I was like there’s no harm trying right there is no harm in trying anything so I decided to jump on a bandwagon get on this cute little trend and try it I’d try Keadle twice I’ve given it to chances and without further ado I’m gonna talk about my first experience and they’re all somewhere between mid-november to meet December and I stopped keto in mid-december because I was going to Japan and there was just no way of me continuing this keto diet when I’m overseas because I find it so difficult to have like a strength diet when I’m overseas it’s just impossible because keto diet is pretty strict when it comes to like having a low carb intake so the first time I tried it I got keto flew so a lot of people do get kiddo food for the first week or first couple of days because if body is trying to transition from burning glucose to burning ketone so the symptoms of keto flu is pretty much like getting a flu you feel really weak if you tie it you just don’t feel like yet any energy to even work out like I couldn’t work out doing my first week was just it was just I just felt like her I just felt like I have no energy at all I can’t even move my legs I just feel like crap and that was my first experience and I think after a week I felt a lot better I felt really strong really energetic and I was not like tired anymore my mind was very sharp I can work really hot and yeah it was just a really good feeling because I felt like I am a new person you know like I have all this energy I’m ready to take over the world that was whilst feeling from like week two to week four us being so good I lost so much weight I wasn’t expecting to lose so much weight because you know like there’s no magic diet or whatnot but because keto diet removes all the water weight so you’re left with like you’re less bloated because you don’t eat carbs because what every gram of copy it you gain like four grams of water sorry the four grams of water I can’t remember the exact number but cops helps you to retain water which is why some people eat carbs too I you know fill up their muscles to look a little bit bigger so yeah I was feeling Oh energetic feeling really really good and one of the side effect I felt that was not very great was that I couldn’t sleep at night but that was yeah like the first four weeks of my experience generally I felt pretty good I was like you know what I could do this the foods are pretty delicious like because there’s lots of oil in everything so it doesn’t make everything tastes pretty like like tasty it’s quite a bit of salt in everything because you need to make sure you have enough electrolytes and all of that so yeah that was my first experience everything went well so after I came back from Japan which was about a month after I stopped keto I realized that I haven’t had my period for one and a half months I was freaking out a little bit but not majorly because it was just one 1/2 months and so I started reading so much about keto for women before that I was just reading like the generic heater like information like what you should be eating and what supplements you should be taking so yeah so I knew all of that when I was starting Kido but I didn’t really read that many things about keto for women so I started listening to a lot of women podcast like the keto for women podcast and also the health food pursuit podcast and I talked a lot about keto for women and how it helps with their hormones and how it helps to regulate their cycles and how it was really good for women that has polycystic ovarian syndrome so there were so many like benefits about it based on all these podcasts and I was like maybe I should get back on it and I wasn’t really afraid because I haven’t had period for awhile and I didn’t want to stop keto again because I know is this the stressful process based on everything I’ve read so I didn’t want to stress my body I just want my body to relax and chill and get the period back naturally while I was reading all these things they talked about how you should get into keto and how you should try to make me increase the cops a little bit or your fat even more to get back a period or to regulate your hormones fast for about another one months I got my period back so I was very very happy I got my period back in meet February I was like yes I got my favorite back again I feel like every woman knows how this feels like especially when you use that period and he stopped having period just felt like something’s not normal I wasn’t pregnant I was doing anything very drastic I also know the stress that maybe I don’t know and I thought it might be kids oh it might not be ki toy because it was my first time and I didn’t want to keep keto a bad name just because I had no period okay so yeah I got my pure back I felt so happy I was like I’m ready to rock this world and try keto for the second time so I started keitel again because of how painless my parrot was and sorry this time I tried like the right way based on all these podcasts you gotta get into it slowly decrease your cup really slowly over six weeks or whatnot and also increasing of fat slowly because you don’t want to overload your gold bladder and vapor so about three weeks in I stopped I just started feeling something that’s not normal the first week was fine I didn’t get my massive kilo food because I was like chucking in all this electrolytes like maybe supplementation and everything that I should be doing to have a very smooth transition everything was fine like it was honestly fine I was feeling really strong and the jetty I could live really heavy weights I was feeling like normal like completely normal I said that I’ve never ever smelled myself this bad before especially around my underarms sorry sorry I know that’s a little bit too much information but when you’re on cure genic diet like your armpits like your sweats that’s the stink of ketones say sorry I know I’m on a ketogenic diet when my body stinks I’ve never ever used the other in my life before but I had to get the other end like for the first time in my life so that was intense I was like oh my god I’m turning into this very smelly person hey I was being careful I was trying to wear like things to cover up my armpits okay so where was I so by the third week I realized that things were not normal I lost I all of a sudden that I lost pigmentation on like the first chunk of my eyebrow over here so I’ve recorded a footage here so it is still pretty much like gone like all the pigmentation over here are gone so I’ll say what the heck is going on I had I just couldn’t figuring out whether it was cute or not but anyway I’ve talked to a doctor after that and he talked about how he thought was so stressful for my body that it costs it causes in my life the mineralization the mineralization so I lost minerals on my eyebrows on my body so that was what happened and also my palms started to get super yellow like it is still a little bit yellow now it’s always a little bit yellow because of my skin tone I’m a bit like olive colored skin tone right so my palms were like super yellow like extremely yellow so something was not right so my liver and gallbladder was just working so hard to process all those fat and I just felt like okay that’s not normal and on top of that I stopped ovulating again because I should be ovulating by that time and I stopped I’ll be late again so I knew that my period was not coming so I just decided no no way I’m gonna do this so I stopped the Kyo diet I listened to my body and I’m I’m glad I did that because I don’t think it is the diet for everybody honestly because going on keto is actually really stressful for the body whether you go on it slow or fast it is still a transition your body still needs to transition from using glucose to using ketones and also in a process your production of cortisol which is the stress hormone it’s kind of like spike up so eventually your body is just gonna be really stressed out and that was the case for me my body just got so stressed out any was just not great I was just not happy at that point as well and fast forward to June I haven’t had my period for three and a half months and I don’t know what I collect my hand because it was not great I was freaking out and once you screw up your hormones because my hormones were out of place once you screw it up it takes a while for them to get back in place but it takes a while for them to recover so you can’t expect to lose up here and get back up here very quickly I mean some people do but it takes a while for your body recover Edie finally in July I finally got my period back and it was the happiest day of my life I can’t believe I’m saying that because having period is such an annoying thing like what do you have it you really hate it it is just so annoying especially the cramps the curse it’s the thing that always got me but I was so happy on my um I’ll rather take the cramps oh I left my period and the cramps over not having it I just feel more normal having it and so yeah I just promised myself to never go on a crazy diet just because I want to experiment it is it really worth it well I said because I can tell this story but it’s not worth it in terms of my hormones because I’m still recovering from it and I’m getting regular periods now so that is good I was really anxious in a way that I am screwed up for it but I know there’s no such thing but the thing is my mind goes to places it is very good in imagining things so that was what’s happening and yeah right now I think I’m gonna just stop babbling because you guys are probably sick of listening to my long story so I’m just gonna go straight into the pros and cons and you can decide whether you want to go on in I don’t recommend it especially for women and for Adrian he’s okay he didn’t have much side effect other than the fact that he lost lots of weight that’s pretty unfair so now I’m gonna talk about a couple of benefits that I’ve experienced one on keto the first main benefit is clear skin I’ve never had such clear skin before until I guarantee the genic diet if I want to wear so much makeup like foundation like liquid foundation powder blushes contour whatnot I’ll break out like crazy and ever since I got on Cara’s genic diet my skin clear up a lot like right now it is not the clearest it can be because I’m gonna do it right now so guys I’m feeling really happy though but I haven’t had back breakups since I stopped he saw as well and the second benefit is that you can get these pretty quickly and I really don’t recommend you to try the ketogenic diet just because you want to lose some weight because you will be screwing up your hormones doing this so yeah the benefit is you lose a lot of that because you’re using your back as the source of energy the benefit to have experiences that I stopped getting painful periods and ever since I started keto all my periods I only got like four periods so far so there are all pretty painless including days like this this cycle so that is very surprising because I used to get the most painful periods I have to have a few pink for the first two days so those were intense but ever since that happen taken any painkillers so that is very interesting if big something but it also broke some I don’t want to break anything while I’m fixing something I don’t want to think about fixing another thing also based on a lot of research it is really good for those women that has polycystic ovarian syndrome but I really do think that you need to consult with a doctor and a dietician about going on a ketogenic diet it is definitely not recommended for women I feel like you will be doing more harm to your body than good I know I’m probably pissing off a lot of people right now but this is based on my experience and the doctors down working with right now so now let’s talk about the concerts it is extremely stressful for the body whether you’re a man or a woman but us women our body is just really sensitive to stress and when we’re stressed out our body reacts in a way that we lose our period or we become estrogen dominant so that’s the second kind that your body became more estrogen or estrogen dominant and being estrogen dominance is not a good thing because there’s a higher chance of developing breast cancer and also prostate cancer being estrogen dominant also is not great if you’re trying to this way and the third cons is that your thyroid and your metabolism it’s gonna slow down when you’re very stressed out your body is gonna just shut everything off so your thyroid in the table that was going to slow down and sorry I felt like that was the case for me my metabolism slowed down a little because when like in the last couple of months I’ve gained a little bit I’m not sure what are you guys can tell but my body has not been great like I’m recovering I’ve gained a little bit of weight which is fine I’m still recovering and I don’t really want to think too much about that sorry yeah there is the other side effect that is not great so I’m trying to boost up my metabolism balkon is that my palms and my feet turn really yellow else pretty much like a pumpkin yellow human pumpkin and you know my family and my friends were freaking out all might be hot they’re like oh my god Carol we got a kit yourself fix you are so here though like a carrot so it is a lot better now only it’ll be yellow as you can see but it is a little bit better and the next one is that I lost pigmentation on my eyebrow because I was demineralized so when you’re on a keto diet your body loose minerals which is why I was on a loss supplement like sodium potassium magnesium and other trace minerals but it was still not enough because it was too stressful so I still demineralize over here so that’s what your body do when you’re too stressed out you demoralize your metabolism slowed down you become estrogen dominant and you become older like just so much going on now when you’re on a very low carb diet your body just release all these minerals that’s why we need to start taking more sodium potassium magnesium and all the other trace minerals and on top of that I was taking some liver supplementation because of the amount of fat I was taking in so I spent a lot of money on that it was not cheap and the six cons is that when you’re on a low carb diet for a while you’re gonna be a little bit cranky sometimes so your mood is gonna be low because cops give you that like happy effect you know like it makes you feel relaxed helps you to sleep so I was a little bit cranky sometimes and it’s not good for anywhere around us around me anyway so I was a little bit irritated and low so that is another site with that and number seven is I was not able to sleep because of the increase in the hormones cortisol I talked about this earlier so when you’re on a keto diet when your body is transitioning from you know burning glucose to burning ketones it is stressful for the body so a pata soul level is gonna spike up and in the long run this is not good for anybody’s body you are not supposed to go on a killing on time because it is stressful for your body so that was what happened to me which is why I lost my period because it was too stressful and the reason why I couldn’t sleep at night is because of the increase in the production of cortisol which is the stress almost and secondly just not enough parts because cops give you that calming relaxing effect so not being able to sleep at night it’s gonna cause more cortisol production of course off so it is kind of like a vicious cycle being on keto was already stressful enough and now you can’t sleep you get more stress there and it just keeps going so that’s the reason why I don’t think keto diet is great for everybody it might be good for some people I can’t generalize this you know just because you work it does work for some people especially some people that has like serious health condition epilepsy or cancer and whatnot but it is not suitable for a lot of people especially the eczema and butter body type so yeah I think that’s how I want to end this video today I don’t want to get into too much details but you know just give you guys a honest opinion about what happened to my body when I went on it I’ve never really made a video about about kids oh just because I really wanted to give it a try and give you guys you know like a full summary like a more detailed experience so here this here’s T screwing up my body while trying a new fancy new diet I’ll definitely not try something like this ever again Never Say Never because I really like to try things and like you guys know what ain’t works or well it doesn’t right now I’m recovering so I’m feeling a lot happier than my body is finally reacting well it’s
