KETO PASTA THAT TASTES AMAZING | STORE BOUGHT | EASY KETO RECIPES


hey guys welcome back to my channel today we’re doing a review and a recipe on a store-bought low-carb pasta that I think you’re gonna want to check out want to know what it is stay tuned and let’s do on Amazon it’s from the great low carb bread company and there are some reviews on there that are not super favorable that they’re inedible on the case terrible and I’ve got a couple of thoughts on that and I have a couple of pro tips on how to make them taste pretty much identical to regular pasta so stay tuned to the end of this video to find out my two tips on how to make these amazing but here they are it is the great low carb bread company i buy the variety pack which comes in a pack of four now I don’t love the fettuccine this is a fettuccine one it’s been partially used and REE stapled but the reason that I don’t love this one is just because it is real fragile and it comes broken Amazon sends it a lot of times in a bag and not a box and the other three varieties though you know like the penne pasta and the macaroni and stuff those seem to be okay and hold up but this one as you can see I mean it comes pretty munched up so it’s not for flavor or anything but the fact that this thing just breaks really easily but I’m gonna take you to my kitchen show you how I make it as well as a mere needed mozzarella tomato salad that we make that so amazing and yummy and so let’s go to the kitchen and see how we do it okay this is gonna be the easiest pasta salad ever you’re gonna get chicken stock I have the organic Kirkland brand from Costco I have three of the boxes in there because you’re gonna need a lot of liquid next this penny from a great little car but bread company it is 25 carbs 18 fiber so you’ve got seven carbs per serving in there are four servings so seven for that it says to cook in about 10 minutes do not do that you need to cook it about 17 minutes almost twice what it says so that it softens up and tastes like pasta then I have got these angel sweet tomatoes I am going to be cutting them in half and dumping them in this bowl then in here I’ve got marinated mozzarella also from Costco it is this fresh mozzarella marinated salad two curbs per serving I dumped the whole thing in it’s an oil and all that once you have cooked your pasta in here I’m gonna drain it off really stir it around get it to cool off because you don’t want to melt your mozzarella but then you will dump that in here once I’ve added the tomatoes and the pasta I’ll show you what it looks like this is amazingly good and so so easy I love keto recipes that don’t require eight hours to make them so these have been in here for 15 minutes I just tried one and they taste like gross cardboard so it needs probably another five minutes in here could be 20 minutes before I take it off okay here it is 25 minutes to oil but now they taste yummy you can tell they got a lot bigger cool off before I put them in the salad so that I don’t melt the cheese and then I’ll show you the final product this is what the salad looks like so far lots of extra oil in there but once we add the pasta it’s gonna soak all that up right here’s the final product this is probably six servings because we have so much other stuff in it so that brings the carb count down a little bit from the four servings that the pasta says there’s no way four of us would eat all of this but it is refreshing and yummy delicious [Music] okay so my two pro tips one is cooking it in chicken broth now I have cooked this in just salted water and it is totally fine but if you’re doing something like the salad that I just made the pasta salad you want that pasta to have a little bit of flavor the second cool thing about it is that because we put so much other stuff into it and you could add grilled chicken into this as well the pasta becomes an accent to your dish not the main focus of your dish so you don’t have to eat as much of it to feel very satisfied to get that pasta kick that we all love and miss on a keto diet so I actually stretch this recipe to seven servings because there’s so many other ingredients in there and so it’s four servings of seven net carbs and if you stretch it to seven you know you’re only about four carbs per serving from the pasta so depending on what you add to the pasta I would suggest adding a whole bunch of other ingredients chicken and the cheese and all of that stuff vegetables even maybe a Primavera to kind of stretch the pasta it’s where you’re not actually eating so much plus it’s so full of fiber you really get full fast I don’t I could not eat a quarter of a bag of that pasta in one sitting my second pro tip is do not cook it the way that it is described on the back I think they they really need to revamp this because I think a lot more people would be buying it and eating it you have to cook it almost twice as long as it says I think they say about 10 minutes and I have found that 17 to 20 minutes it’s kind of the sweet spot depending on which posture you’re using you might not need it at quite as long for the fettuccine because it’s thinner but like the elbow macaroni and the penne pasta especially it’s thicker so you really need to cook it longer much longer almost twice as long to get the same kind of texture and taste that you’re going to get with regular pasta if you do that you will love this pasta and I would say you know toss it with something that has a good amount of flavor and any bit of the low carb taste that you might actually know if you’re really looking you won’t notice it at all we make this all the time my kids live it they’re not even on keto and they eat it and they love it everybody loves it my husband loves it try this out just cook it twice as long and try cooking it in chicken broth to
