[Music] hello welcome to this week’s cooking vlog flavor with favor we’re gonna be cooking preparing meal prepping we do a variety of things on this video all will be keto low-carb gluten free corn free grain free because I have food allergies and intolerances some are still being discovered I’m sort of going through this right now trying to figure out what’s going on with me so if you are new when we upload new content okay we’ve gotten that out of the way so yesterday my friend Allison sent me a video I’m going to update it here it’s right here called Chappell Chappell Chappell CH AFF le so cheese waffle okay and I was very intrigued not today we’re going to try this now this is from the keto focus Facebook page there is a video here and she has a ton of different chapels and I am very intrigued by all of them so I would like to in this vlog run through making several different varieties um she has chocolate ones there are just basic she’s an egg excuse me there are basic there’s like a cheddar Bay biscuits I don’t know there’s several of them and I really really want to try them so that’s what we’re gonna do this morning I’m going to make the basic one which is egg and cheese and I believe there’s probably a little salt in it that’s the one we’re gonna make this morning I’m gonna throw it in my waffle iron I have an oyster waffle iron that I picked up from Amazon I think it was seven or eight dollars it doesn’t heat as swell or as high as a more expensive waffle iron but it’s small fits in my cabinet and it was inexpensive so that’s why I picked this one out and it’s working just fine yes I do have to leave things in there a little bit longer but that’s okay and sometimes I will take them out and throw them in my toaster oven and my air fryer over here and sort of crisp them up a little bit more but I am a crispy I like crispy foods waffles and I also like things on the darker side cooked to where there’s a little bit of burnt on them I don’t know I like that that’s just I don’t know I like that so okay I’m gonna get started I will link the video in the description box so the waffle iron is heating up I’m gonna fix it real quick I’ll pour it in there and we’ll we’ll try it I just want them plain this morning I’m not sure that I want a sweet version I have a little bacon crisped up already but you know we’re gonna have more at lunchtime and work our way through all right I’ll be right back okay here it is we’re gonna put it in the waffle iron let me get you off the stand hey there it is now we just wait think it’s gonna be delicious I’m actually excited about it I’m gonna heat up my bacon which I have here precooked you know I precooked my bacon and actually this like pan-fried because I haven’t batch thanked any bacon this week and I need to and I just it was just easier for me to throw a few pieces in the pan instead of taking the big pan out I just sometimes who knows okay so I’ll show you in just one sec okay there we go that looks pretty good so let’s pull it out I lean this way I think it must be mine well I don’t know it pulled that way okay I’m gonna pull it up there we go um it actually feels a little personal which sort of surprises me I am using the chalk zero maple pecan that’s fine I’m gonna try the like tanco like luck can’t oh I can’t remember the name of it um that is actually my preferred sugar keto sugar so that brand so I’d like to try their syrup but it’s taken me forever to go through this maple pecan syrup so I you know I kind of I can’t justify buying it right now well I mean I can’t complain it’s very cheesy very cheesy but it’s good this is delicious there’s nothing wrong with this it’s a cheesy omelet made in a waffle iron and I think that’s fantastic absolutely fantastic I will definitely make this again and again and I’m definitely gonna make the pizza one for lunch because that sounds delicious although I do not have any pizza sauce so I’m gonna have to figure that out I’ll have to make some sauce pizza sauce is a little thicker so I have to see what they used in the recipe maybe they just use tomato paste or tomato sauce and I’m listening okay I’m going to have my breakfast and then I’m going to get to my computer get to work we can’t wanted to hop in here real quick it’s not 11:02 I just was kind of feeling lucky so I picked this up at the grocery store it’s called too good and here are the stats on it you can see I think it has 3 carbs – fats grams that’s not very high 3 carbs and no fiber and 2 grams of sugar look I don’t know how keto friendly this is I don’t know I think it’s pretty good it is certified gluten free and no aspartame sucralose or another word I can’t actually focus on it um so he’s in there it’s actually good it’s really good I’m going to bring this into my diet and I had it about 30 minutes ago and so far no acid reflux which it’s so rare for me with yogurt normally it starts killing me within five minutes of eating it I love yogurt that’s why I constantly try to be able to eat it so there you go this is the peach and it was peachy and tasty and I’m going to try I have a strawberry one as well but I think this is gonna go into maybe not every day I can’t probably have it every day but maybe once or twice a week I just will help you hurt so it should be higher in fat but I was trying to avoid the sugar in the carbs which is hard to do in a flavored yogurt you know maybe if I try plain and I get some like peach extract maybe we’ll try that let’s try that I’ll see what I can find online I have strawberry extract and I can put some sweet drops in it maybe we’ll try that okay so it’s lunchtime it’s now 1:16 and I realize I’m out of pepperoni so I put it on my grocery list so I can’t make the pizza one and I’m gonna go ahead and find a good quick easy pizza sauce I’m gonna put that on my list too so I can have one so we can make the pizza one but what we’re gonna make now is the cheddar Bay and that calls for an egg cheddar cheese almond flour baking powder garlic powder and salt so we’re gonna make that and I am going to have that and I might put I know just have that for lunch and I may put a little something on the side and but also I know my phone just goes off constantly welcome to my life and I don’t know we’ll see how filling that is because we do have a baseball game tonight and it is 1:15 so I’ll need to eat again probably around 3:30 a little more filling at that point so we’re gonna see how this is and then for dinner I have some already have some prepared cauliflower casserole and I have some Mexican chicken that I prepared in my freezer and I’m telling you I can’t tell you how much it means how much it helps excuse me to have that already prepared and in my freezer meal prep is huge so I’m gonna be having that the chicken and the mashed cauliflower for dinner because it’s so delicious put a little avocado on there and a little bit of taco sauce Rob sneaking by alright I’m gonna make this and then I will show you you [Music] okay so I think we’re pretty good here I mean I would probably prefer it to go a little more but you know I’ll keep it normal looking for you huh oh we’re hot hi but I just oh just there it is it puffed up nice with that baking powder that’s fantastic that’s so good that’s delicious my husband would eat that that’s pretty good I have a four slack waffle maker in my Cuisinart panini press I can see making a hole for different for dinner for different waffles for this for dinner because this is really good I just had that one little bite very very tasty okay I am actually going to roll up a couple of pieces of Turkey nope I’m out of Turkey I need to go to the store and get a couple of basics I don’t need you know too much but I think what I’m going to actually have is an avocado with this a half an avocado with this and that’ll be milling okay it is seven o’clock on Friday night it’s really too late for me to be eating but I’m gonna eat I am going to make the chocolate well one of those waffles called the name is now escape truffles cheddar waffles chapels weird okay so this one is an egg cream cheese monk fruit cocoa powder vanilla almond flour mix everything together and put it in your waffle iron which mine is heating Lepanto is my favorite kind of sugar I got this one at Costco so that is the one I was trying to remember the other day that I couldn’t say in the last vlog okay so I’m going to put this all together mix it up and now pour it into the waffle iron they keep showing theirs in a in a measuring cup news here’s a bowl [Music] you [Music] okay here it is it looks and smells delicious I’m not gonna lie I tasted the batter and it was quite tasty so what I thought we would do it’s a little powder you can’t oh this isn’t working very well that’s okay little powder that was a quarter teaspoon but I didn’t use all of it and I told you this stuff is incredibly sweet so we’re just gonna drizzle very little and clean that off all right let’s try it it’s very hot that’s very good it’s weird and a waffle – and a waffle form I feel like this should be in a mug like a mug cake this I will go to this again we’ll make this again I need two heavy whipping cream would be good with this just to dip it maybe a couple little strawberries I can see this being something I make again it’s very good now to figure out the carpet now to figure out the carbs on it because I don’t know what they are so that’s something to figure out but I’m going to go enjoy my little waffle right now okay hello it is the 24th Saturday the 24 6:28 p.m. serie is every time I say hello she thinks I’m talking to her it’s 92 degrees outside we just got home from the grocery store from Costco and h-e-b our Costco total was 195 97 ouch and our h-e-b total was 130 958 but it’s not all grocery so let’s get started I’m going to show you real quick and as we’re talking through you’ll get an idea of a couple of things that’ll be cooked next week because as you all know there was no cooking vlog today which was last week for you and that was out of my hands technology sometimes isn’t very pleasant everything and please pardon the dogs panting and making noise it’s their dinner time we just got home this is jicama I love jicama I have always loved jicama however last week I did make jicama fries and they were outstanding so we’re gonna make them again not on this vlog because it’s already Saturday so we’ll probably make them for next week’s vlogs but I’m telling you if you want to look up a recipe do it they’re delicious delicious and do you remember I even had like a french fry french fry well I’ve had one but I don’t know I really liked it okay avocados a poblano four poblano chicken I and here’s celery lettuce romaine hearts cucumber onion green onions for a recipe for Chandler and I am craving cobb salad or some sort of chef’s salad just a full meaty cheesy avocado eggy salad so that’s what you’re seeing here toothpaste a toothbrush mouthwash water we need water on hand for certain truck days and things like that we do use our own water drinking things but sometimes we need to bring extra with us and that’s what that’s for it goes on our fridge in the backyard these are so delicious they are like the best pickles ever add garlic minced garlic it’s just easier and less expensive for me to buy it that way um parsley flakes ground cumin garlic powder onion powder I mean these are like sixty-five cents at HEB it’s such an economical way to buy them from h-e-b and they didn’t have the double size they were out so I got the smaller ones that’s fine peanuts for a recipe for Chandler and I do have them on occasion pizza sauce for some of our truffle no cheese waffles trifles this week I told you we’re gonna make the pizza one I needed pizzas sauce I could have made my own but this was fine and a pepperoni and salami need no explanation they’re delicious eat them on their own or for pizza or to go in my salad as well coleslaw for Chandler for recipe carrots for a recipe he’s making some food on an Asian food this week this is it just looks so good this is for my salad again and sandwiches this is house roasted natural applewood smoked uncured ham has one carb and this one what are you you must have fallen off of something this is in house roasted turkey breast and it has no parts its HIV as the best deli meat it’s so good their brand theirs it’s so good tomatoes for the salad and I love multicolor tomatoes I know I can’t have two too many of them but I you know I wanted some avocado ranch this week instead of just the plain ranch and whether it was safe for me to eat it or not it lasted in my fridge three weeks and we went through the whole bottle am I not supposed to eat it for that long of a period of time I don’t know I’m didn’t get sick so I’m gonna keep doing it okay I talked to you about this yogurt again this is peach and then I found a vanilla I’m so excited you know I don’t intend to have it every day but once or twice a week fine and then rebel cookie dough and rebel chocolate those two are my favorite I think they make a strawberry if they do I want to try it they did have the strawberry what’s the other one the brand I don’t really care for it they had that one there but I didn’t get it this is dub body scrub I think it’s wonderful you guys know there’s another brand that I love that Terry sells jewel scents has it and it’s vanilla I absolutely love it but they’ve been out for a while so I picked this one up and then these hello fall hello fall this is the toasty pumpkin spice it smells heavenly these work so so well I know these candles are not good for me I know it I’m aware but I love the scent and I picked them up and then at Christmas time they’ll have a Christmas tree scented one like a balsam pine pine scent or whatever that I love as well and I picked up the plugins version as well and I don’t regret it they smell heavenly and there’s so much less expensive than a Bath & Body Works candle and I honestly feel they’re just as scented and they permeate this little bitty one permeates like this whole little practice the little one permeates my whole kitchen and living room so I them okay so that’s it for h-e-b excuse me Addie mommy’s trying to come through thank you and here’s Costco okay I meant to get these the last Costco haul and forgot these are really really good hope Eddie’s getting a drink I really like these we’ve been making them a lot it’s $18 for this which I feel like is a good price and it saves me time I don’t have to prepare them I pull them out if they’re frozen it doesn’t even matter I stick them in the pan and cook them anyway I just cook them on a low heat initially and then crank it up to sear them a little bit to brown them up I made Salisbury steak no not Salisbury steak what is it called I keep doing this babe do you remember what it is that sounds very steak stroganoff that’s the word I made stroganoff we loved it everybody loved it we loved Salisbury steak too but they didn’t have stew meat so I’ll just chop this up and cut this up same thing it’s fine and actually it was less expensive because I’m gonna be cutting it more avocados they’re super super hard and green so while I’m working through the other ones these will be ripening up when they reach the stage you want to eat them when they’re perfect for you put them in the fridge you’ll get another Oh at least seven days out of them if you put them in the fridge cheese because we always need cheese Parmesan cheese this one I love the parmigiano-reggiano from h-e-b it’s delicious but this is much more economical and I guess I’ve been out of eggs I’ve been working through eggs at the grocery store I finally picked him up at Costco no more picking them up to the grocery store just so much more economical this way Kirkland San Marzano tomatoes to make sauce I make my own marinara just because I find it’s easier and I really like it Jarlsberg Cheese you guys know you see this in my house all the time I love this stuff and I probably have three slices a day I use it to snack on I’ll roll it up with a salami or a pepperoni if I’m feeling snacky or hungry or something like that and it’s I love it I absolutely love it I I love it bacon and bacon more bacon mozzarella cheese just because you know you need it all the time and chicken now I bought chicken a little while ago I certainly wasn’t out I sent it home with a kid they have it so I needed to get more so this was 2195 and they were running a special where it was five dollars off each one so I picked up two because I can freeze them and this you guys know if you’ve been watching Chandler loves these they were on sale from 1199 to $7.99 so I picked him up too even though he didn’t need to that was a great price so I went ahead and picked a cup so tonight for dinner um I was going to make a big meal but it’s late we’re tired I think it’s already 6:30 yeah 6:30 7:00 normally I would stop eating by now but I have to eat dinner somehow so I will make a peanut butter why can’t I say cheese waffle chocolate chapel truffle whatever I’m gonna make one of those the peanut butter one and I’m gonna have a little yogurt with it and that will be my dinner tonight and then I’m gonna have a big huge giant cup of tea and all of that will come after I put all of this away so I’ll be right back in just a second okay so it’s dinner time I said I was gonna make the peanut butter chocolate chapel I’m not I’m gonna make the pizza one that’s why I bought the pizza sauce not just for me but for Rob now this is a really pricey fancy pizza sauce that I absolutely love I just love it it’s a little loose but that’s the kind of pizza sauce I like the pizza sauce they showed was a little thicker this has a six the five carbs five net carbs for one-fifth of a cup and only need a tablespoon you know 1/5 of a cup what is that how much is that 450 grams so I’m only using a tablespoon it is high in carbs I know that I guess I don’t really buy this I make my own but I think all tomato sauce is pretty high in not super high but it’s a higher carb count anyway so I’m going to open this and I’m gonna mix this all up so the recipe calls for 1 egg beaten 1/2 a cup of mozzarella or cheese I chose mozzarella I just felt like that was better you might like any kind of Italian type cheese probably a provolone would be pretty good that kind of thing a tablespoon of pizza sauce pepperoni Italian seasoning mix and bake I’m thinking maybe a little baking powder and this circumstance might be good but I’m not I’m gonna make it the way it says first tomorrow in the morning I’m gonna make the peanut butter one [Music] you [Music] you [Music] the cheese I don’t think it liked the cheese so it might be the mozzarella mozzarella beige is not being achieved we should use although that’s when it looked like they used it was in white cheese maybe parmesan afro Beaulieu might be a more substantial cheese less melty parmesan I feel it being funny looking and not crisping up it’s delicious I mean I know it looks Bert you know I like Bert I’m trying to get you a good picture of it it looks funny but absolutely delicious so something else I like to do is just take the melted or take the mozzarella put it in a circle on a pan you can use in your toaster oven where of in heaven in Texas we use our toaster ovens as much as possible because it’s so hot here if you turn your oven on it keeps up your whole house I’m sorry about the game in the background Rob’s watching this result so I will put it on on a pan a little pile of mozzarella you can put a few pepperonis cut up pepperoni on top the noise I’m sorry now the darks getting a drink and then you can toast it up smelt it get it nice and crispy and delicious and then you can dip into pizza side things it’s real good it’s crispy it’s delicious good morning okay so it is time to make some breakfast so this morning I have my Chapel recipes all on my little sticky notes okay so this morning we’re gonna make the peanut butter version I’ve been showing you me mixing it and all that stuff and pouring it in the waffle iron we’re just gonna make it this morning else for a third of a cup of cheese in it to me that’s odd like a cheddar cheese or anything like that that’s I I’m gonna change that to one – cream cheese I can’t put the cheese in it in my head that doesn’t mix and match I just can’t do it if it ends up not being great well then we’ll go and do it with cheese or you can okay so before I take this waffle out I wanted to tell you real quick what I did the cream cheese and the peanut butter those are two ingredients that can be really hard to mix in two things so I warmed him up that was all I put the cream cheese in the peanut butter separately because they heat up they’re different viscosities so they heat up at a different time so I put the cream cheese in for a few seconds until it got very soft and then I put the peanut butter in for a few seconds in the microwave until he got very soft and then I mixed them up a little bit and then I put them in the mixture be careful though you can scramble your eggs so you don’t want it hot you just want it warmed up a little bit so it’s nice and smooth and easy to mix I used a fork but a whisk would have been better okay so I think this is gonna be really good it’s still it’s still cooking so we’re gonna give it a second I’ll be right back this smells amazing look at it it looks wonderful now they don’t get super crispy which I prefer very crispy waffle but that’s okay we’re gonna try this plain and then of course I’m gonna eat it with a little powdered sugar or a little syrup look at the inside so fluffy not a lot of peanut butter flavor coming through but enough I like this I don’t think it needs syrup or powdered sugar maybe just some butter mm-hmm maybe not anything I don’t know it’s really good okay so this one’s good kind of experiment with your peanut butters I think almond butter would be really really good with this but I can not see why they use more monk fruit um sugar it um it’s not as sweet as the chocolate one was interesting so with less sugar so very very good I like that it’s like this I think if I could crisp it up a little more it would be even better I could probably leave it in the waffle iron a little longer or throw it in my toaster oven and crisp it up a little bit all right I think that’s a winner so I think we’ve made them all we made the cheddar Bay we made just the plain one the pizza one the peanut butter one I don’t know I’m gonna go back and watch the video and make sure I didn’t miss one I might have the chocolate one I might have that’s one two three four that’s five so I think that’s all of them all right I’ll see you when it’s time to make lunch and I’m just gonna show you my lunch I mean I don’t need to show you how I chop up a salad and that kind of thing but I’ll just show it to you when it’s all ready for me to eat I’m so ready to eat it even though it’s 11 o’clock now I haven’t even had breakfast so I’ll probably the late lunch and a little bit of dinner it’s just one of those days bless you sneezy puppies okay it’s lunch time here we go you see him sitting back there both of them do you see those bad cats sitting back there they smell the turkey what are you two doing there we go okay so we have what is this stuff called we have romaine we have celery carrots no cucumbers eggs boiled eggs ham turkey avocado and jicama this is giant so this is just enough for I’m gonna mix this all together and put it in a container and pull from it for a salad I made ice up one more egg and put it in there just because I really like the egg in there and also then we have no sir oh they’re about to get in trouble cheddar cheese that I will add a couple tablespoons to this and here’s the avocado ranch that I will be having myself in like I said I’m gonna put this in a giant container in fact let me just grab it well now I need to add more to it so I will do that um I’ll go ahead and double it up and put more in there I wouldn’t I pulled the avocado off and put the whole half of an avocado in this salad because you know avocados turn I didn’t really want to mix it in there so there you go alright so that is my lunch and I am very excited about it and I will have some for tomorrow as well basically I think that’s about two salads worth that I had there and you know because salad I’m crooked there we go sorry because salads aren’t super filling so I want to make sure having a fat and protein in there you know to fill me up okay I’m gonna add some cheese I will dip I don’t always pour over my salad I use like dip into the sauce I don’t know why I do that that’s just something I’ve done I may mix it up this time just depends and um have this with it okay [Music]
