right we’re lot of okay we’re supposed to be live okay today all right well so far so far so good oh did you pronounce the sure I did okay well I’m going to you’re gonna share all the things right so welcome everybody now we’re ready to start so I’m Chris bear we’re from Quito ciao and every week we sit down on Tuesday at 7:30 mountain and do a facebook life so that’s what this is right here yeah so go ahead and ask us questions we’ll probably get the same questions a couple times as people pop in but yeah go ahead and ask and we’ve got stuff that we’re gonna talk about but if you want to know stuff go ahead and ask us we’re just here to yeah answer questions talk about cool stuff yeah so hi Karla and Cristina and Don and rebel but this is the part where I share the video out so people can find it so I’m going to disengage a little bit and I’m going to talk about my day today I went and got wings surprise well you were going to you were going to fasted yeah last night and then all today until we decided we’d take our social media director to lunch so we did hey yeah how are you let’s see what happened oh when I got my nails done did it very nice there Polly Polly oh and guess what else I did this weekend I put my fall decorations up okay so there’s pumpkins everywhere so that’s awesome what was going on you were doing that I was working on something else you were like reading a book you were taking some me time I wasn’t been reading a book because I can’t find the time to do that we are sitting here and the kids were painting we had a paint paint day hopefully that wasn’t super loud in the microphone yes the kids are painting and I was putting up decorations and I don’t know what you’re doing you’re sitting on the sofa probably hammer because we were supposed to be painting with them but I wanted to put up my decoration so that’s what I did there’s some there’s a shoe and socks in the background I’m getting mismatched I’m guessing that’s Audrey because they’re not the same color song that’s true ooh Ashley’s got her pumpkin everywhere yay thanks to all the things really I’m Christine hi oh she’s good for us too oh thank you I guess people can hear us okay huh yeah hey Jose here dang it a minute okay look at this look at how cute those are done if that’s on our list of things to talk about but since my hair was covering them up I decided to pull them out they’re out now cute earrings and you know it’s funny that I wore this shirt so that I could wear these earrings cuz they’re green but they don’t really match also the light is funny so that it makes the green earrings we’re green and this shirt looks grayish green your shirts blue that’s true so let’s see I’m almost done almost done almost done yeah we got a giveaway going on I don’t know anything about that so you can talk about it it’s on Instagram only and it’s a high key what’s high key it’s good stuff there keto con they have cookies and cheese crisps just that I can leave I think we should have you on Facebook live with it that’s true you should do it that’d be fun yep what was I saying you were talking about the giveaway oh yes so go on Instagram and just like and tech friends and stuff that’s how you do it on there and then we’ll count it all up and giveaway that pikey stuff I could look at it and tell you what it is because that’d be nice let me just pull up Instagram right here okay I’m almost done I’m just I’m sharing one more thing somebody wants to talk about MCT oil I didn’t see that question come up okay it is creamy tomato basil keto ciao with the cheese crunches uh cheese crisps was she’s Christmas the Heike ones well the Heike ones we zoom in and I can read it to you because I apparently can’t see Instagram doesn’t let just say zoomed in half down it is dumb yeah okay it just says hi key well I could probably read it if I can get my face that small cheddar cheese and parmesan and parmesan and what’s the blue ones say cheddar cheese also they have different ingredients so so they have a little bit different flavor but they’re all just cheese crisps anybody they should be good and it’s a cute company so yeah oh look Joe posted it thanks Debbie how are you doing girl okay so I’m ready to engage hi I’m here alright so we had a couple of questions Carla wanted to know can we discuss MCT oil so for those that don’t know MCT oil is medium chain triglyceride yep coconut oil yeah it’s coconut oil with the the longer chains taken out the longer chains are what make it solidify at room temperature and so medium chain triglycerides it’s usually liquid it with room temperature and it has some interesting metabolic effects so you ingest it it gets absorbed by your stomach goes right to the liver and is it’s converted directly into ketones it’s a lot like taking exhaust ketones only a lot cheaper mm-hmm they’re the right kind of ketones because one of the issues with exogenous ketones is that you’ve got you’ve got left and right mirror images unless you pay extra and get the one that’s been separated and so it’s long story but so MCT oil will boost your ketones if you have issues with like if you have a neurological condition be it Alzheimer’s or epilepsy something where you need yeah something where you need therapeutic levels of ketones but you don’t want to pay the crazy amounts of money to buy ketones you can use MCT oil for that or it can also sorry Joseph’s it’s last longer than exogenously tones yeah it does but anyway so yeah MCT oil oh and you can use it as an energy boost if you’re going to be working out that’s the other your brain so that said MCT oil is not necessary it won’t make you lose weight any faster it will raise your ketones it’s just cool which can be a good thing it can be cool it’s it’s not necessary necessarily a good thing by definition it can be cool if you use too much of it as Deb just said it can give you twos Astor pants which if you’re constipated it might be helpful yep now MCT oil also changes around your lipid systems cholesterol triglycerides things like that so if you look up my 100 days of keto ciao experiment where Beverly and I were both doing keto ciao for everyday so I did keto ciao with heavy cream I did keto ciao with avocado oil I did Kyosho with avocado and MCT and I did Keo Chou with butter and I did each of those for two weeks just as my fast source and that was the only thing I was changing was my fat source and then I was getting blood tests and Beverly was doing the same thing and when we it’s kind of funny Beverly’s HDL was a lot higher than mine across the board and her triglycerides were a lot lower different people very different people but we had similar not the same but similar we had similar results when we did keto Chow with avocado oil and MCT it’s raised our triglycerides and lowered our HDL and those are two things that I want the opposite to happen I want triglycerides lower and HDL higher and when I went back to butter it came up and everything was great so it’s it’s interesting what the MCT oil did it was with a monounsaturated fat like avocado oil anyway so you can use MCT oil to boost your ketones but it will not make you lose weight any faster in order to lose weight you have to be using your own stored fat and if you’re using rather if you’re using MCT oil instead of other fats in your diet then it won’t have anything it won’t have a negative or a positive impact on weight if you’re adding MCT oil to coffee or chocolate or keto Chow or whatever in addition to your normal amount of calories it will inhibit the weight loss so that’s MCT oil you can use it if you want don’t feel like you have to watch out because too much of it causes disaster pans guess that’s the short way of saying it huh yeah alright let’s see wants to know what’s the best meal at to break it faster not a handful of nuts the book by dr. Jason Fung and Megan Ramos I’m trying to remember what the name of the book is I think it’s the obesity code but I could be wrong but you know they talked about fasting and there’s a typo it actually it was in the first edition and it made it into the second edition – that’s saying what they meant to say was don’t and the fast with a handful of nuts but it came through as you should use yeah and so don’t don’t use it yeah yep so what is the best thing to break your fast we we haven’t really noticed well it depends on if you’re talking about a long fast if you’re doing like oh we have done long fasts a seven-day fast profit yeah then you would want to – real slowly get your body into eating into processing stuff if you’re just doing a 36 or a 24 hour see rings whatever you want meat or keto Chow you can use that so dawn says I’ve heard you talk about different recipes using Keo Chow what can you make using it other than shakes let’s see a lot of stuff marshmallows waffles biscuits taco chiles crazy cheesecake you have to add other ingredients yeah the chocolate mint meltaways oh that’s the best so there’s there’s a whole lot of them they’re actually categorized based on what flavor of keto Chow is being used with them so yeah if you go on our website to resources and then you go to the very first thing is recipes there’s a whole lot of recipes there like this we’re working on making it look prettier just so you know because I like pretty things let’s Joe next when you post it will you say what it is before you post it then we can what it is Diane wants to know have people who have hypoglycemia done well with keto using gyoja yeah one of the nicest things about doing a ketogenic diet is you don’t have highs and lows especially with type ones which you know having too high of blood glucose is like bad having too low of blood glucose is life-threatening and a lot of type 1 diabetics they find that because they’re not having to dose up with a whole lot of insulin to deal with the food that they’re eating they can just establish a basal load of insulin and they’re not having highs and lows and highs and lows and highs and lows but the the lows are the big thing that you don’t encounter with a ketogenic diet so yeah our friend that lives by us is type one that’s helped us out a lot with stuff she’s got keto Thanksgiving Thanks yeah it was Thanksgiving last year didn’t take her a while to kind of get level but she’s never felt something so good just because she’s not constantly going like this and insulin and spiking these women you know so she just feels way better and it’s so awesome oh the length of Joe posted was his cheesecake recipe there you go cheesecake recipe yep yeah that’s delicious I figured it was something I’m sure it was something we were talking about but then I could remember what we’d said a minute ago you know okay whatever so speaking of other stuff the flavor of the week is eggnog do we talk about I can’t remember thank not play for the week is eggnog do you want us to make um I’m an eggnog fiend so I made sure that we had an eggnog flavor and that was legit no some people think it’s weird some people have never had Oh Joe said it was Thomas de Lauer Oh probably talking about the MCT oh oh oh how to break up the past yeah well Thomas de la rue is running the Redmond real salt fast right now that’s what we’re doing was the red minutes fast so but then we decided we wanted wings so we’re gonna get some more so yeah anyway the eggnog it’s really good just drinking it straight as a shake it also works really well for waffles and specifically for job so um the recipe you’ve been having me make is what six eggs well that’s cuz we make a bunch yeah not everybody yeah yeah 6 eggs 2 cups of cheese is that tips and cheese scoop akitoki hojo that’s all we’ve been doing mix it up yeah we’ve got four of the – waffle makers in fact they were on the counter today coz max made them for breakfast he started making it right before school ten minutes before he was immune to leave and I was like dude so I finished it up for it Oh Carla said add nutmeg to eggnog I know a lot of people yeah that needs more nutmeg but it the nice thing is you can add add to it it’s not overpowering so it’s terrific kind of nice let’s see some may ask the question how no that wasn’t it Oh somebody was asking about about flavorings some be asking about flavoring it was asking about flavor okay check it out so I got this package in the mail and it’s from our good old friends from oh oh oh from one on one flavors okay these are all turned around backwards except for that one so I went on there Hayley and I were making tacos it was I don’t know we’ve just been obsessed with chapels because they’re so easy and you can use them for everything and we went on there to buy these and I saw these little individual I mean individual these little combo packs that are keto flavor packs so this one has corn bread french toast maple syrup and cinnamon roll and then I got a couple more and I just handed my phone to Haley and I said pick whatever you want to make a chocolate flavor and then we’ll just make whatever we want but I got we got a couple of these keto flavor pack is gingerbread cookie white chocolate peppermint bark YUM sugar butter cookie and hazelnut you know we could probably do we could probably take tap knees lemon cookie recipe and add a little bit of that sugar butter cookie and I could make like a Christmas cookie that you can’t have anymore there he goes cookies yeah it’s happenes recipe that one’s really good and then here’s candy flavor pack is Kido oh this one isn’t Kido it’s just can’t well it’s there all Akito because they don’t have sugar I’m just saying it’s not labeled as yeah well they noticed that people kept on people who are doing keto kept on buying ooo flavors yeah absolutely these are nice cuz they’re like extra tiny so then if you end up getting one you don’t like it’s not as big of a deal they’re $12.99 this one has peach ring strawberry sour belts berry blue or sorry blueberry candy and green apple candy so these are like kid ones but that all the kids might like to play with these because we we just like to put a few drops into our keto Chow if we want to have something no no we don’t we have different one here let me let me know everybody this is Esther it’s gonna be great anyway so on the our favorite things page what what you’ve can find a link to all the flavors plus there’s a discount code cherry pie so somebody want to know the difference between the ones think you doing the ones that don’t know are a whole bunch of people kept on buying the same one the same ones and so you think that there’s something that you couldn’t produce very well without the actual thing so like corn bread yeah the corn bread ones and there was no there’s a couple more actually you know I wrote it down let me tell you before I say that so this one is pie crust so this is the one they gave you for free so every time you make an order they’ll give you one for free oh so I didn’t order that one but and then apple i’ll look apple pie a la mode so we have apple flavors but it’s not apple pie that’s what it is blackberry yeah and then this is custard that sounds yummy and blueberry shortcake so I’ll tell you let me tell you this real quick I’m going to read it to you the kedo a holiday okay they have quito holiday keto beverage quito candy quito citrus quito fruit quito ice cream in quito tropical and i just got two of the keto ones because a couple of them i already had the flavors in there and I thought oh I don’t have any of these so I wanted to try these well and they seemed like something well I have corn bread actually but I don’t think I’ve ever used it still but the corn bread yeah have you yeah anyway so it’ll be fun to play with just to play with and I typically have been using these in is Mike like working there we go I’ve been using the different flavors in vanilla keto Chou because it’s kind of like a blank canvas so you’re just able to make whatever you want so oh that’s what it was somebody asked are you taking flavor requests with pina colada oh yes so we made it with coconut oil coconut oil is the fat as the fat made keto ciao so he took vanilla made keto chavanel Oh with coconut oil and then I did the pineapple ooo drops so I’ve used the pineapple oil drops cuz I like pina colada we actually used to have a keto chou pina colada flavor and I miss it so that’s that so that’s one way you can use it is in the shakes you can also as Ashley just asked can you put these in shuffles yeah yeah in fact probably one of the best uses I can think of would be the corn bread flavor in Charles to make corn cornbread flavor Charles IV yummy so so hey what Haley likes to do is with her truffles she’s just been taking to to school and then put some make yourself a little bit well makes herself a giant bowl of heavy cream of whipped cream and I didn’t know she put sweetener in it honestly she might not yeah um she just makes a huge bowl of whipped cream and then she puts it in like little containers and takes it to school and has her two little Chavez with whipped cream on it so she needs him cold so just like well I wanted to taste more like you know a little bit more flavorful stand then work that’s why we were playing with these mm-hmm so but let me just tell you I love people with integrity so I reached out to the social media gal cuz we ever contacts we’ve done business giveaways with her and I asked her a question about manufacturing and I said yeah you may not know this but you might know somebody who could talk to me because they do contract manufacturing at all flavors so I’m like oh hey well I have a question so I might want to her to ask right well not only did they get back to me but the president called me and he was so nice and helped us out with her a question and we you know got some things figured out and it was cool it was really nice to just have some have important people you know just call me and just be like hey what can I help you with it was really nice to feel you know so valued in my hands smell delicious I know I have no delicious to a new perfume yeah well it’s the interesting thing about the OO stuff and that it’s why we keep recommending it and its really big on the the keto village Facebook group in a bunch of other places is that it’s just flavor it’s just flavor it’s not extra there’s no like glycerin there’s no sweetener there’s no weird stuff in it okay so yeah here I just want to show you the difference in the size so this size is the one that you can just buy well they have tons of different sizes they have like a gallon size but this is the one you can buy for 399 and these little baby ones and this packet was $12.99 so but it’s nice to try it also has a recipe because it keto probably not almond flour baking powder butter sour cream drops oh it’s totally oh it’s totally get it well this is one of the keto flavor packs sure how cool that and it’s the most difficult thing you could think of yeah actually wants to know can you order them in Canada I was a suspect you can but they’re gonna do they I don’t know if they have a local distributor this one is Quito – and this is straub I’m sweetener half teaspoon oil flavor sour belts they have monk fruit apparently goes well done by next time or you could use the counter yeah or you could use but this one tells you exactly what to use so that’s kind of cool that’s cool I don’t mean to read this one yeah you do ok sugar butter cookie what is that one keto does keto right there oh okay one cup superfine almond flour 3 tablespoons granulated stevia or erythritol blend 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 pinch of sea salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract fourth teaspoon almond extract 1/4 cup butter cubed 20 drops oil flavor sugar butter cookies concentrate add to taste preheat 3 sorry I follow block make 16 cookies amanda says Oh flavors they’re really active in the Quito community yeah I doubt they knew it was even that thing until everyone’s like these guys are great and it was like wow they’re so great wait we’ve dealt with them quite a bit because yeah the giveaways we’ve and they’ve just been super awesome so but it’s nice to know that their president is awesome and that’s probably why they’re awesome okay so how do you handle cheats or falling off the wagon I don’t know from last week yeah but I don’t think we talked about it we did but we can talk about it again the easiest way to deal with a cheat you know when you’re where you would decide that hey you know what I’m just I’m gonna eat this stuff or whatever we’re falling off the wagon whatever you want to call it the best way to deal with it and this is I think dr. berry was the one who saw this treat it like it never happened just move on it’s over don’t don’t stress about it it’s over it’s over are yeah what cheat like it didn’t happen because if you allow it to sabotage your day then your day will be horrible then it’ll turn into a couple days then I’ll turn into it you’ll be off the wagon and then you’ll feel horrible yeah so just don’t just be done yep move on so yep move on and and don’t confess on Facebook pages because then you’ve you are looking for what what is it you’re looking for you’re looking for acceptance metal looking for validation consciously you know look for oh it’s okay it’s okay okay well yeah it’s okay but you don’t need to talk about it you’re done with it you’re done with it which means you’re not dwelling on it which means you’re not gonna do it anymore which means you’re done thank you just act like it didn’t happen yeah so can you sit through your key to a child throughout the day so we had somebody who added us on the Facebook sport group and I used to take along a lot longer to drink my Kido show than I didn’t then I do now and I take sometimes it’d take me like two or three hour and a half but since we’ve been doing you know for a while the longer or the more you more often you eat the more elevated your blood sugar is even though you’re going you’re even though you’re eating keto every time you eat anything your blood sugar goes to account for the food that you’re eating and along with the blood sugar is going to be your insulin yes so if you eat less often and more together so you have an eating window of a specific time so say I’m gonna eat between 2:00 and 6 o’clock at night well that’s a great eating window the rest of the time you’d be fasting so your blood glucose is going to be down the whole time that you’re fasting Joseph says it doesn’t last five minutes in my hand like so then then you’re eating windows gonna be smaller and you’re gonna have a better blood glucose overall throughout the day right and insulin levels so my opinion is you sure can’t sip it over the day but that’s like snacking all day right yeah it’s just knocking on keto Chow so if it needs to take you a little while I would still try to push it closer together so it’s not like 5 hours 3 hours or 1 hour you know yeah if it really takes you that long maybe make it into 2 nails like a half now and then an hour later eat half and then don’t eat anymore like I think you just need to try to narrow that eating window if you can yeah because then you’re not snacking all day long that’s my opinion yeah I so it on I actually replied to her thing and I said you know I we we had the same the same answer I said that all that said and I talked about intermittent fasting time restrictive feeding all that sort of stuff what I said was now with that said if sipping it throughout the day isn’t causing you problems and you’re prog you’re progressing and everything is going fine don’t worry about it do what you’re doing until you stall and if you’re stalling out if your weight loss yeah that’s when you change it up that’s when you stop eating meals throughout the day and maybe maybe compress it down I’ve heard a lot of people so I kind of prefer to skip breakfast a lot of people find any better success when they eat breakfast and don’t eat anything else throughout the day but we’re talking like a big good breakfast oh man and it’s breakfast one meal a day yes Matt and I actually had somebody asked can you use keto ciao for one meal a day I’m like yeah you just want to eat three of them so well it depends on if you want to use keto ciao for the meal yeah or if you want to eat it with your meal so you can have a cow and a steak yeah and something else you know so are you is your mind says it’s cutting as you sneezed on it it might be you want me to put my mic closer to so you can touch me yeah let’s see man thanks for helping me save all hold on that was probably really loud sorry cuz I just yeah anyhow yeah let me know if it’s still doing it what were we talking about one meal day oh yeah so if you want to use keto chow for all of your food you can do that with with one meal a day you just i-i’ve done it where I are sounding funny Chris I’ve done it where I drank a keto chow waited an hour drank Akita Chow waited an hour drank a keto chow other times I’ve like drank a keto Chow and then ate a bunch of cheese and some meat and stuff like that yeah so there’s different ways that you can do mm-hmm and sometimes I made a keto Chow and prepared it and then I feel like having a fried egg so I’ll have half a key touch out and have a fried egg with some cheese and then have the half for another time or one of the children will just make a disappearance but once again that’s the sort of thing that’s the sort of thing that you do if you start having problems and you start installing mm-hmm so and it depends on where you are in your keto journey if you just started keto and you need to sip it through the day do that for a while joe says he drank three once over the course of an hour you’ve done that I have done that yeah I haven’t I would probably blow up I was I was really really full okay let’s see some Baptist okay well hopefully I moved it around we’ll see this may be something that we will have to look up for later well so I’ll just hold on I’ll find the so the question is how do you calculate your macros we recommend chronometer Ono meter for tracking your food intake but they’re there calculator for figuring how much you need doesn’t work very well well it just it yeah it just doesn’t work for well Maria Emmerich has a calculator judo gains has a calculator yep we just didn’t think about grabbing the sorry it’s my fault I made the notes today and I didn’t grab them so I have a link here I’m gonna paste it this is it’s a walkthrough of how to use a calculator to figure out your macros and then how to use the keto chou calorie calculator thing to figure out how much heavy cream or butter or whatever that’d be something you want to watch later yeah so yeah that explains it there’s a link to it it’s yeah we walks you through it I pull up the website and do it all what’s up so our son Max is doing a fitness goal for his fitness class in school also real is Ruth and so we’ve been doing push-ups and sit-ups and not pull-ups because we haven’t cleaned up this very stressful area and shoulder stretches but we’ve only been doing it for one day so I don’t feel super successful but yesterday when we did it I felt amazing so no sorry Don just ask the questions okay which is going to get Miriam off on a tangent okay that way have to say it okay I guess I know you’re saying so Don said what are your hours when can I go see you yes and then I thought in my brain you want to come see us because my face looks so cute right now oh posted it on Instagram actually may believe they’re in West Valley they did a custom custom displays for us and girlfriend display stuff yes door flip little so they put up a wood wall for me and did a did a really cute a little mini that’s like a desk area thing desk Wow is it like a little point-of-sale area and then Jen who you’ve if you’ve come in you’ve met you’ve met Oh Thursday might be ready ah John anyway so Jen that our girl who sits out in the front she’s got her own custom desk with the little serving area for the samples and it’s reclaimed wood it looks really cute and I’m working on getting the labels made for the pricing so that looks a lot more you know cooler more better a lot more better it’ll be really cute I’m hoping and not quite so can’t be and homey yep but I’m so excited because it looks and Miriam is definitely gonna post pictures but I will probably do a live tomorrow and show everybody anyway yeah it’s Monday through Friday I’m sorry yes for the point o’clock in the 8 o’clock in the morning until 5 o’clock p.m. and if you try to come at 5 the door will probably be locked because we have a bunch of teenagers yeah they do bundles and we are we won’t have that done in a bit all right if you’re worried about having too much protein with Keo Chow compared to fat you may need to up the amount of fat use you wrote it lady said it okay the they had recalculated their macros which is what got me thinking about the macro question in the first place she read calculator macros and figured out she wasn’t getting enough protein from what she was eating but it was just eating keto Chow so she was asking what else she could do to get more protein well my first thought was are you getting enough fat so maybe I don’t know she was not getting enough fat or she was getting too much fat compared like her just her stuff was not figured out quite right but then there was other suggestions you can add more protein powder if you need more protein you can have steak bacon eggs any kind of protein you want so if you need to get more protein yep it seems pretty easy to me yeah and there is I have a post on I think it’s on it’s our what is keto video that talks about it’s actually the description of the YouTube video that I can find it that talks about how to figure out your macros and that sorry my nose is very itchy that carbohydrates are a limit fats a goal and I’m sorry protein is a goal and that you change the fat around to meet the amount of calories yes it’s a limit let me see if I can find that really quick Joe Joe wanted to
