Immune-Boosting Vegan Carrot Oatmeal Cookies | Organixx Recipe

for many of us it’s back-to-school time let’s make a healthy and tasty treat that the whole family will love stay tuned [Music] hi my name is Katrina welcome to the organic channel a trusted source that you can count on for bringing inspired health into the kitchen one recipe at a time today we’re going to be making vegan carrot oatmeal cookies in a small mixing bowl add one tablespoon of ground flax seed which is high in omega-3 fatty acids and 2 and 1/2 tablespoons of filtered water whisk together and then set it aside to thicken this is going to act as our bonding agent replacing eggs in your mixing bowl add 1 cup of instant oats which are loaded with vitamins and minerals next add 3/4 of a cup of your favorite organic flour that sun-bleached and unrelated which simply means that potassium bromate has not been added to the flour I’m going to use a gluten-free because I would like to enjoy some of these cookies one and a half teaspoons of baking powder that’s aluminum free one and a half teaspoons of cinnamon which is high in antioxidants protecting your body from oxidative damage a pinch or two of Himalayan or sea salt last we have organic 7em which are going to add to capsules and this is excellent for supporting your immune health especially now that school is going to be back in season I actually give these to my kids daily during school and I’ve noticed a huge difference in the amount time that they get sick whisk everything together it should look something like this and now set this aside and we’re going to put together all of our wet ingredients in your large mixing bowl add your flax seed and water mixture you’ll notice that it’s thickened up now one teaspoon of vanilla extract two tablespoons of melted coconut oil which helps support your thyroid function improving your overall metabolism twist together these ingredients really well now we’re going to add our sweetener which is one-half cup of gravy maple syrup which is high in manganese and zinc these minerals help support your immune system again this is just perfect for back-to-school time whisking your maple syrup now if you don’t want to use maple syrup you can always just use your favorite sweetener you’ll notice your mixture is pretty thick it should look something like this okay now we’re ready to add our dry ingredients pour in your dry ingredients and then mix everything up really well and now add one cup of grated carrots any chance that I can add vegetables to my recipe I do last we have 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts this is completely optional so if your kids don’t really like nuts then you don’t need to add this since I’m going to be eating it I’m adding and mix everything up really well your cookie dough should look like this it’s nice and thick now you want to cover this up and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour to let everything harden inside line your baking sheet with parchment paper and you see a cookie scooper you want to form your cookies by making them into round balls and then smash them down just a little bit leave about two inches in between your cookies and then bake them in a 325 degree preheated oven for 11 to 13 minutes let your cookies cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes before you take them off otherwise they will probably fall apart on you you’ll notice that my cookies are high maybe higher than you would prefer your cookies to be so if you like a flat or cookie flatten it out just a little bit more before you stick it in the oven I said these cookies were great for the whole family lunch just make sure that that’s so come on in Brianna she is my pickiest either in house so if she gets them a thumb up thumbs up that they are good let’s do what you have today mmm these are really good they’re so good I was just eating the batter was delicious give these ones a try they’re super easy to make and super delicious yep yeah thanks so much for tuning in today give these cookies a try and let me know what you think in the comment section below also stay inspired and connected by subscribing to our Channel see you next time [Music] you
