High Protein Bodybuilding Grilled Cheese Sandwich | Easy Low Carb Recipe


what is up YouTube welcome back to my channel today’s recipe video is going to be different from any of the other ones I’ve ever done most of those is you guys know our dessert focused videos right this one’s actually going to be a meal and not just a regular meal this is actually going to be a grilled cheese sandwich now I have an ad a grocery sandwich since boy my younger days but I’m looking forward to making this high-protein recipe for you guys I really think you’re going to enjoy it as much as I know I’m going to I haven’t made this yet I have not tried this yet so this will be a first time for me as well but you guys know taste test flavor review all that stuff will be incoming so if you guys are ready to see exactly how this thing gets put together then I’m ready to cook for you let’s do [Music] now for a typical recipe video fashion I’m going to go over all the ingredients you were going to need to make this recipe starting off your mini two slices of whole wheat bread I’m actually using this brand right here by healthy life two slices of this only has 16 grams of carbohydrates and also 5 grams of fiber so really good brand here use whatever brand you’d like obviously just make sure it might affect your overall macro count at the end of it we’re going to need four slices of Canadian bacon or 57 grams also going to need some fat-free American cheese these are nice and walking 5 grams of protein per slice so it’s definitely get you some of this if you can find any other factory cheese or get any more fat in your diet you can swap this out of it hopefully every cheese if you’d like and we’re also going to need some garlic hummus I’ll be using 14 grams of this as well and this is an optional ingredient you don’t need to use this but I think it helps add to the overall flavor of this recipe we’re also going to need 3 egg whites which I will be separating the yolks from these and using this and just frying up to 3 egg whites to help with that protein and also adding to the flavor and finally you’re going to need some extra virgin olive oil so let’s go ahead and get this show started now in order to cook this you’re getting yourself a large pan or a griddle will work as well and then you want to set your temperature to medium heat and we’ll kind of sit here and let this heat up while we get started now the first thing we’re going to do is spray our pan with some nonstick cooking spray and I removed the yolks from the egg so we’re going to ahead just cook those right here now you want to go in and you want this to be about the same size as your bread so that way it fits into this sandwich so kind of get it down to that side but don’t go scrambling it you obviously can if you want to but we’re trying to make this fit our sandwich the best way possible but once your egg whites cooked all the way you’re going to go ahead and take it off of here and put it off to the side and now we’re going to do the exact same thing with our Canadian bacon and there we go Canadian bacon is now done we also placed it off to the side now what we’re going to do and like I said this is totally optional is we’re going to take our 14 grams of pumice I’ve already waited out and we’re going to spread it on the inside of both of our pieces of whole wheat bread here this is going to add a real nice flavor as well as some micronutrients because basically hummus is just ground of garbanzo beans with some added flavor so that garlic I really think is going to set this off and there we go now at this point we’re going to take our three pieces of cheese and put them on the sandwich I’ll do one on one side and then two on the other there we go now we can take our Canadian bacon and put it on one side of sandwich there we go and we’ll go ahead and take our egg white and put it on the other side of the sandwich now it’s going to work best if we can get this to fit the bread here so what I’m going to do probably fold it over like so there we go now you just combined them and on to the next step at this point we’re going to take our 10 grams of extra virgin olive oil and pardon my bro cooking here but you can spread this out any way you want on both sides of the bread I’m just going to use my finger to spread it out so we want an even coating on both sides so I’ll just take part of it here and spread it out it’s going to add a lot of nice flavor and some healthy fats as well in this recipe there we go side ones done now you want to flip it you can do the other side and there we go and just to be safe I’m going to take a little bit of my nonstick cooking spray and spray both sides of the sandwich as well just to make sure that it is not sticking to the pan and that she’s not get melted adequately without burning the bread there we go now we’re going to hit our pan one more time with cooking spray and we’re going to place our sandwich right on top of here now the goal is to press down on it and it’s going to take about two to three minutes on each side to adequately melt that cheese go ahead and flip it and don’t make the same mistake I did out of little bourbon a I don’t want there we go this is done now we’ll go ahead and slice this thing down the middle and check this out guys look at that this looks absolutely delicious let’s move on to the taste test alright guys it is the moment you’ve all been waiting for and I’ve been waiting for it too I’m not going to lie this looks so good I don’t you guys can see that the autofocus on this new camera isn’t the best boy this looks incredible so without further ado let’s do it three two one this is absolutely incredible mmm Wow that is really good this is a nice departure from all the desert flavored recipes I’ve been making I definitely think comment below right now if you want to see me make more rescue videos like this there are actual real foods and not so much like protein powders desert stuff like that but wow this is incredible I don’t feel like you can go wrong with a grilled cheese sandwich at any point in their life mmm this guy’s is so good okay I’ll put that down come to eat here in a second but that is absolutely incredible really double seal of approval for sure for sure so let me go over the macker with you guys real quick in this entire recipe there is only 406 calories which is nothing in the grand scheme of things guys iced low-calorie recipe here that is delicious and then from a macronutrient standpoint we have in this whole recipe 15 grams of fat we have 26 grams of carbohydrates and 43 grams of protein so that my friends is a awesome way to start your day middle of your day and your night however you want to do it high in protein carbohydrates or moderate 26 is not hard to balance out at all 15 grams of fat obviously you can cut down on that you don’t even necessarily have to use the olive oil or you can use half of it steadies and 10 grams you spot you can cut down on that but 15 grams of fat it’s still not a bad number to have adults awesome recipe guys I tell telling you I’m telling you this is really good mmm even though I burnt the one side of it I think if I would change anything about this recipe I didn’t lower the heat on my pan from where I cooked the egg whites or the Canadian bacon I kind of just let it the same I would have lowered it a tad bit that way I could maybe save on some of the bird nests but I can’t even taste it Wow I’m telling you guys these recipes videos do as much for me as they do for you I promise I love finding new stuff like this and the cool thing is on me My Fitness Pal app once I go in and make a recipe like this I save it as they saved the meal that way all the ingredients are right there the macros are there so if I want it I
