Goan Prawn Curry | Keto Recipes | Low Carb | Indian Curry

hi guys I’m sonal and welcome to my channel today I’m sharing one of my husband’s favorite recipes so whenever we go to a seafood restaurant he always orders a prawn curry and the gone prawn curry so I’m going will create that recipe for him today the Indian cuisine changes all over India if you move from one state to the other the food is absolutely different from each other and especially to thank in a palette it is very different but one thing in common is that whenever seafood is full it’s mostly cooked in coconut the reason being that coconut is very commonly grown on the coastal areas and the coastal regions so rice and coconut is a staple with any fish and most recipes are made with coconut and eaten with rice so let me go ahead and show you how I make my bowl prawn curry the way my husband likes so this is 500 grams of peeled and deveined prawns to this imagine half a teaspoon of turmeric and about 1/8 teaspoon of salt and I am going to rub that and let it mix evenly in the prawns and let it rest for at least 15 to 20 minutes now we were to look at the masala ingredients this is 1/2 a cup of stripped frozen coconut to read write chilli this is the non spicy variety this is half a teaspoon of rock salt 1 green chilli about 5 to 6 cloves of garlic and a small piece of ginger here I have 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds 1/2 a teaspoon of black pepper and 2 teaspoons of coriander seeds can leave the chillies out if you don’t like spicy food now I’m going to put all this into the blender and grind it with some warm water because that helps in bringing all the ingredients together and making a nice fine paste so you want to make a very very fine paste I am taking the seeds off from the green chillies because I don’t want you to be very spicy I just want the flavor of the chili design there you see here I have a heated wok I’ve added two tablespoons of coconut oil to which I’m adding 1 tablespoon of onions there’s some coriander along with that which was an intentional [Music] so I’m adding my prawns to this and I’m going to saute it lightly for about 2 minutes and then take it out I think it gives a good flavor to the curry [Music] she sure is the pace I’m going to add that to our oil and fry it really well stirring from time to time so now you can see the water has dried and the paste is ready for about two minutes hours and finally I am adding the prawns and all the juices back into the masala I’ve washed the blender with some water and I’m adding that water to the gravy so you get all the leftover masala and I’m going to let it boil a little bit so about one minute of boiling and now I’m going to add the tamarind juice or the tamarind pulp you can add any sour agent that you have if you have pokum you can add polka and if you don’t have either of these you can add some lime juice right in the end lime or lemon juice right in the end [Music] this is half a cup of coconut milk this is the last ingredient that I’m adding and now my gravy is ready I’m going to switch on the gas and serve it look at the view who follow and the creaminess that has come from the coconut milk [Music] some green coriander and it’s very so the prawn curry looks delicious and I hope you’ve enjoyed watching this recipes if you have please click the like button and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already also there’s a notification bell which you can click to be notified every time that I add a new recipe and thanks for watching
