Full Day Of Eating | Macros + Keto-ish


hey guys good morning welcome back to my channel welcome to my kitchen today’s video is going to be a full day of eating or what I eat in a day so we are just getting started right away I usually pull up one of these shaker cups with water and I drink this you guys ever drink too fast and then you feel like you can’t breathe sometimes I get anxiety if I can like if my eyes are going into the cup I feel like I’m gonna drown I know it’s super weird but I’m just gonna finish this and then I’m gonna go make my bulletproof coffee this is the coffee that I’m currently using it’s not bad but I’m not gonna be repurchasing it I got it from Costco and it’s just okay it is holding coffee so I use my little grinder [Music] and then I pour it into my French press sidenote I’m obsessed with this I found it it superstores kind of a knockoff for a really expensive version I’ll see if I can find it in Lincoln below but I think it’s so pretty it’s like a double like double chambered glass and I know I’ve showed you guys this before but I’m gonna miss this so much when I move because the boiling water just comes right out of the tap gonna let that brew for like five minutes I always use a collagen creamer this is one from vital proteins it’s a coconut flavor it does come in like a tub but they were out so they sent me this version and it was just like little packets also gonna add in about a tablespoon of MCT oil and a bit of cinnamon sometimes I add grass-fed butter but I think I’m out I’m almost out or I don’t know honestly I just don’t feel like adding it today but sometimes that goes in if I’m not making a bulletproof coffee I’ll just add in a splash of almond milk and then a few drops of these sweet drops vanilla flavor it’s just liquid stevia so good [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I’m very excited to announce that today’s video is in partnership with life some I’ve been using this app for probably about a year now to track my food and I’ve always used the free version which is actually really great if you’re wanting to track your food your water your workouts the free version does all of that I recently upgraded to the premium version and it just has a lot more advanced options there’s like recipes different diet plans and all of that so I’m going to be using this to track my food today when you signed up for the app you put in all your information your goals so everyone’s like calories and macros are gonna be different I can’t remember when I said my goal is I think was like to maintain and just tone up my goal calorie intake is 1941 and my macros are down below I actually took a quiz on here to find out what kind of meal plan I should be following and I got ketogenic easy I’ve talked about this a little bit in past videos but I am trying to eat lower carb or at least carbs that are low on the glycemic index and incorporate more fat so when I took the quiz I ended up with kind of like a flexible keto diet so I’m definitely not keto at all but I’m starting to kind of incorporate more like keto friendly type meals I guess so if you look at the macros and my goals are 100 grams of carbs 73 grams of protein and 139 grams of fat when you input your food you can either scan the barcode which is really easy or you can just type it in I already have a bunch of things put in here that I’ve used before so it’s just like easy to go back to recents so I’m adding a serving of black coffee like half teaspoon of ground cinnamon tablespoon of MCT oil and a vital proteins coconut creamer so right now it’s saying that my meal is in balance which obviously it is because I haven’t eaten my actual food yet but I’m just adding that to my breakfast as I go throughout the day I’m gonna in put it all into here at the end of the day we can see if I am on track or not I honestly don’t know how it’s going to end up but it’s a great way to just be more aware of what you’re eating because honestly I feel like you can go throughout your day and not realize you’re eating super high amounts of something maybe totally lacking another thing another great thing with this app is you can track your water I’m gonna add two of these cups because I drink one of those big things no that’s more than 16 ounces whatever I’m just gonna put in two to be safe little disclaimer though I’m not worried about calories but I’m just trying to eat balanced healthy foods also everyone is so different so keto works really well for some people for other people it doesn’t work again I’m not keto but I’m just saying the leak just because I’m making these specific things doesn’t mean that you should go and eat the exact same things or it might work really well for you so it’s kind of just finding what works for you I think it’s important to enjoy your food as well moving on to breakfast these are all the ingredients we’re gonna be making a healthy version of the mixture loyal subscribers will know what that is but it’s just like a little fruit parfait bowl I guess this is the yogurt that I use it’s soy Coast triple zero I like it because there’s zero sugar zero artificial sugar it’s also a French version okay it’s also no preservatives and no fat obviously I’d be fine if there’s fat in it but also like what is a Serbian 175 grams like I almost feel like I should measure it I don’t normally do this guys but like I’m curious to see what an actual serving is oops so that is what a serving looks like honestly this is probably what I normally is that’s good to know and then my hack for this to make it taste like vanilla yogurt is to use the sweet drops again this is the vanilla flavored one so it makes it taste like vanilla yogurt I kind of just eyeball it it’s probably like 10 drops or so we’re gonna add in a few strawberries these have already been washed just so you guys know for other toppings I’m gonna be adding about a tablespoon of shredded coconut this is unsweetened a tablespoon of cacao nibs and then a serving of hemp hearts is three tables this is totally optional I think it makes it taste so good this is coconut nectar it’s a low glycemic sweetener it’s kind of like a syrup I’m just gonna add like the tiniest amount so there’s breakfast I’m gonna throw this in to life some and I’ll show you guys the macros I thought I would include these supplements that I’m taking today I’ve actually run out of a few of the ones that I normally take I ran out of s true smart I need to reorder that I ran out of evening primrose oil asked the asks the Neth I can’t even say it but the thing that I’m trying to say is actually in this krill oil and this is just another version of like an omega-3 so this is kind of taking over for the us snacks then and the evening primrose oil these are the colbys I’m just gonna steal one for today I’m taking my adrenal cortex yeah these are the only two that I’m taking today I need to go reorder other supplements just finish the workout I’m almost done my second water bottle so I can stick two more glasses in my water tracker actually I’m gonna add three because that’s 20 ounces so I brought this snack with me these are herbal and vegan protein gummies they are vegan so there out of yellow pea protein over 95% organic ingredients the pouch is 100% compostable I’ve had these once before I remember they were good but like they’re just a little chalky okay I’m gonna eat half of this pack just because I realize the carbs are really high to just save those for later I just came home to the Best Male I had three packages that’s all skin care and if you guys know me I’m obsessed with skin care I purchased one of them it’s clear Jen it’s like the only product that I have found that works to clear my acne and then drunk elephant and SkinCeuticals oh my gosh bowls like uneasy brands I filmed a little unboxing over on my Instagram if you guys don’t follow me already it’s just at Melissa Merck link in the description box or handles there time to make my post-workout smoothie slash lunch I always switch up my ingredients for my smoothies but I’m going to be using the vanilla whey protein from body energy half of banana I’m gonna put the other half in the freezer some almond butter almond milk and then I’m just gonna be using up the rest of these we have arugula and kale let’s just take a little bit left in there and then take this power greens which I have no idea what this blend is just a deep green blend [Music] I didn’t mention this bringing it throwing some maca powder as well [Music] some choice I’m just gonna add a splash of Mt kilos of fat because there’s only like because there’s the fat from the almond butter but you guys those chunks those chunks and my smoothie were greens and they just slit down my throat and it was so gross I’m scared to drink the rest of it because like I almost wanted to bomb it like this tastes good but the texture of slimy greens yeah it’s like Russian roulette with every sip I just changed back into my sweat suit I’m gonna go get like massages with Carla and she wants to grab food on the way I think we’re just gonna do the Starbucks drive-through I might just get a tea but I’ll show you guys what I guess [Music] just got back from leg massages I’m pretty hungry right now so I’m gonna have a handful of mixed nuts and then I’m gonna get started on dinner I think we have nuts what is this I’m also gonna have more water so for dinner I’m making a super easy recipe I’ll probably link it down below I just found it on Pinterest I’ve made it like a bunch of times it is a very quick and easy ground turkey sweet potato skillet I love this recipe just because again it’s so easy and quick but all the ingredients are things I usually have on hand so I’m gonna be using a full thing of this extra lean ground turkey from Costco and hdthe oh this between Colby and I we eat the whole thing I don’t know why these sweet potatoes are so little compared to the ones I normally get at the store but I’m gonna be using three or four of these one red onion a pepper I’m going to use a yellow pepper if you guys cook a lot and you don’t buy pre chopped garlic this thing is awesome we’re getting to the bottom of it but I use this pretty much any time I make dinner it’s just so much easier than buying little cloves of garlic every time I’m chopping it up so I’m gonna be topping it off with mozzarella and cilantro and I also love using avocado oil to cook things I’m going to be putting two tablespoons of this in the pan to cook up the sweet potatoes and the turkey oh and the onions and pepper this will be adding a little bit of healthy fat and then for spices it’s just cumin chili powder pepper salt and that’s it so again I’ll have it linked down below I’m just gonna chop up the vegetables right now but Colby won’t be home for like 45 minutes and it takes like 20 30 minutes to make so I’m just gonna start prepping but I’ll wait till he’s here before I start cooking [Music] that is everything that I ate today again there’s just like a general idea most days I don’t track so strictly but I think it’s good to do it every once in a while just so you’re more aware of what
