Favorite Low Carbohydrate Fruit | Keto Diet Approved


so you’ve gone Kido and you’re frustrated because you had to give up all your precious fruit I’m here to tell you you could have your Kido cake and you can eat it too in this video I’m gonna give you my number one go-to Kido fruit that you can have and still stay in ketosis so let’s do this [Music] what’s up quito campers ben is out here certified functional health practitioner best-selling author going to share with you too powerful hacks one of them is how to beat your sugar cravings carb cravings and the second one is a simple activity you perform before you have this fruit that will help you stay in ketosis and have it at the same time so let’s reveal this fruit I’m talking about berries my favorite out of all the berries is blueberries and let me show some cool things for you and inspire you to eat more berries on your keto diet did you know that berries are loaded with polyphenols and antioxidants that help the brain create new brain cells there’s a lot of research around something called neurogenesis the creation brain cells and blueberries are on that list for a lot of studies and I’m gonna put a lot of the studies in the video so make sure you go check those out but here’s a cool thing you could do with your berries when you buy them make sure they’re organic make sure they’re wild and put them in the freezer the cool thing about eating frozen blueberries that studies show the ice crystals that form around the berries helps you absorb more of the anthocyanins on the berries which is that bluish purple color it gives it loaded with antioxidants when you eat frozen blueberries they buy passes a certain part of your digestive system and you get more of these antioxidants I’m gonna put a study for that down below a second tip for you here when you’re eating your berries consume it with olive oil not only is it going to help act as a buffer to control glucose and insulin but the olive oil could take the absorption rate of the antioxidants in the blueberries from 1% up to as much as 20% so there you have it that right there is a powerful tip for you eat more frozen blueberries have it with olive oil you can make a fatty keto salad with green leafy vegetables and whatever your favorite keto protein is and put some frozen blueberries in that salad and some olive oil now when it comes to olive oil they’re not all created equal you got to make sure you get it from a quality brand my go-to brand is from the fresh pressed olive oil club I’ll put a link for the one that I use down below now berries is just one of the items on this list but all berries have benefits here and remember at the end of this video I’m going to tie it all together and show you a little tip so you can have more of these berries and stay in ketosis so stick way to satisfy a sweet tooth if you are struggling with sugar cravings carb cravings and we’re just getting into ketosis and you’re trying out the keto diet raspberries would be a great way to calm that sugar craving that you get and the reason I love raspberries because it’s been shown to decrease appetite and increase satiety so go ahead and have your raspberries along with your blueberries next we have strawberries I know you’re thinking Ben how are strawberries keto friendly well like I said at the end of this video I’ll tie it all together for you strawberries are delicious they have been shown to boost to fat burning hormones in the body adiponectin and leptin so yes strawberries could help you lose some weight with your keto diet so that’s my favorite keto approved fruit the berries stick with the berries they are lower in fructose high in antioxidants here is the tip for you the ultimate hack to tie all this together so you could stay in ketosis and still have this fruit perform 50 squats before you have these berries and then when you’re done feasting on these berries go for a 20-minute walk why what does that do it activates something called the glute 4 transporter the glute 4 transporter it’s our friend it tells your body to take that blood sugar and prevent it from spiking and knocking that of ketosis and instead taking some of that blood sugar and packing it into your muscle cells and your liver cells and it helps keep your blood sugar level stable so you’re able to stay in ketosis and still enjoy your berries so if you’re not performing those squats before your berries it might knock you out of ketosis but if you perform the squats and then also go for a walk afterwards you’re gonna be good you’re gonna be you safe there so go ahead and have your berries just make sure you’re getting in your squats and you are going for your walk afterwards you could still have it enjoy it and be in ketosis if you’re somebody who’s making that transition right now into ketosis and you’re just struggling with these sugar cravings something that I’ve seen help with a lot of my clients is al glutamine remember that l-glutamine will help you wean when you take L glutamine it helps calm the part of your brain that lights up when you experience sugar and carb cravings it turns out the same part of your brain lights up if somebody has a cocaine addiction making sugar as addicting as cocaine so when you take L glutamine before your meals or just whenever you feel hungry and you’re getting these cravings it calms the part of your brain that lights up
