Egg Fast Day 1: How Much Eggs, Fat and Cheese?


okay 113 ketones are 0.2 so pretty much non-existent hi guys good morning this is not the most flattering angle because it is way too short this is day 1 of the egg fast so I just wanted to show you how I figured out how many eggs and ounces of cheese that I’m going to be following because in a lot of the egg fast there’s a lot of rules about oh you’re supposed to eat six eggs but no more than ten some of them i’ve read say that you could have four ounces of cheese some say you could have up to six ounces of cheese one tablespoon of fat for every two eggs or one egg so i figured out my total calories I use the keto gains website and then what I did is I just drew pictures it was easier for me to do it that way so like here if we can focus there we go so there’s my total calories I could have in order to lose about two pounds a week so that’s one thousand four hundred and forty three calories and then what I did is I just drew the eggs so I could just figure out how many eggs I was gonna need and just cross off whatever I couldn’t so I put about 70 calories per egg and then I put four slices of cheese so that’s 400 calories averaging about 100 calories some ounces of cheese I know it’s 70 calories some are 110 so I just averaged 100 and then I have four tablespoons of fat I didn’t actually look to see like what the macro ratios are once I put it in my fitness power but that’s the plan that I’m going to start with today so that is one two three four five six seven eight nine so I can have nine eggs and then four ounces of cheese and then oops and then four tablespoons worth of fat so that’s the plan this morning I actually I had to run out to the store this morning so silly me this morning I decided that I didn’t want it I don’t want to cook like a lot of my eggs and like you know so much butter so I realized that I should probably get some unsalted butter for coffee because that I can get down I can make a keto coffee butter coffee so I had to run out and buy some unsalted butter because I have salted butter and I remember a couple of years ago when I had tried keto on one one time I didn’t have any unsalted butter and I had put in regular butter regular salted butter and that was disgusting so you definitely need unsalted butter for your coffee so I had to run out and buy some butter really quick I’m gonna have a slower start today I’m not working eight hours so I had time to run to the store this morning so I’m gonna go ahead and start cooking I think I’m gonna cook three eggs and I’m going to put it in a tablespoon of butter and then I’m going to make a butter coffee as well [Music] [Music] and I’m crooked that’s okay this isn’t coffee it’ll do now let’s get back to the eggs [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay I’m not sure how much mustard I should be putting in there oops I assume it’s very strong tasting so I’m just gonna put a little bit in there I’m gonna put a little bit of smoked paprika a little bit of salt I’m actually kind of nervous about like what my co-workers whole thing because we all sit down and eat lunch together every day it’s just what we do and I’m really afraid that they’re gonna be making fun of me for just eating eggs and they’ll be like oh is that it that’s all you’re gonna eat okay so there’s my egg salad it’s three eggs with two tablespoons of mayonnaise and then I swear by sparkling waters you need sparkling waters I think I might even bring two for lunch today just to help fill me up and like I said because I’m eating with my coworkers I’m sitting there for a long time so I might just go ahead and bring another one and then I’m going to bring two ounces of cheese yesterday I picked up these Spanish cheese’s from sprouts the Hmong I don’t really have money one chez go this one was really good I liked it but anyways I’m going to look on the back cuz they all have different fats and calories the lowest one is a hundred and ten and that’s the goat cheese which is down here it’s like a wine cheese with goat made out of goat cheese so that one’s 110 calories and so this is for 28 grams one cube so I’m going to go ahead and bring two cubes and that will be something else I’m gonna snack on with my egg salad okay so I got a little container I always use these little system uh containers so I’m going to go ahead and set one on the scale so I know how many ounces of cheese I’m cutting and I am gonna try the goat cheese one I think so we’re looking for 28 grams oh well I can get quite a bit actually hmm okay so this is one serving of that this is the goat cheese it’s like a wine wine-soaked one so this is 28 ounces that’s pretty good there’s like one little cube left so I’m going to go ahead and put that back in and we’re going to do another one because we need another 28 ounces so I’m going to zero it out and do another 28 oh this one crumbled who come on like crazy 21 23 27 28 okay so this is two servings of cheese the little gourmet Spanish cheese’s so that’s quite a bit actually put a mile in here and we’ll get to have some cheese so this is a drink that I meet every night it’s electrolyte drink and it’s by dr. ken berry and he is a doctor on YouTube that is pro keto actually I think he’s more carnivore now but so this is just a electrolyte drink it’s his recipe I will put a link down below if you’re interested in this recipe I’m just gonna quickly show it without like doing all the measurements because that’s his recipe and I don’t want to take away credit from him so anyhow I’m just gonna go ahead and mix this [Music] [Music] [Music] this is magnesium citrate you can read that there you go it’s just I have it in a smaller container because when I was traveling I didn’t want to take it in a big old big old container it’s just the natural calm but when I was traveling it was just easier to put it in something small so that’s that and he doesn’t actually put this in his drink but I put about two teaspoons worth this is the quarter of a teaspoon so you’ll see me put a little bit extra and this just helps keep me regular and then I just picked this up from world market Cost Plus World Market it’s called Nellie and Joe’s famous Key West lime juice and I guess people use this for making key lime pie but there’s no sugar in it it’s zero carbs no sugars and it really does smell amazing and for his drink he actually I think he puts half a lime he squeezes the juice of half a lime so I figured that I would just give this a try I think I’m just gonna put like maybe a tablespoon I have this better stevia it’s glycerin I prefer this over just regular stevia because I find that stevia is really bitter but this one supposedly you don’t need as many drops but I still put about three or four drops into this I’m a big old straw [Music] hmm [Music] if you haven’t tried this before it’s very similar to kombucha so if you like kombucha then you’ll probably like this if you don’t like kombucha then you will hate this but it keeps the lake ramps at bay helps you get all your electrolytes in I usually drink an LM T as well I think this is designed by Rob Wolfe I could be wrong but you just drop one of these little packets into a 16 ounce bottle of water every day I think it says no more than three of these a day because look at that so it has like a thousand grams of sodium what is that two hundred milligrams of potassium and sixty grams of magnesium so I guess that’s why it’s just recommended no more than three servings and I get this in the citrus salt which is like lime flavored but so I stuff these on vacation and they were really handy so I’ve been drinking one of these in the mornings and then in the evening I make my own electrolyte drink okay so for my omelet I’m going to be making not the Buffalo omelet I’m just gonna making a regular omelet with this is mozzarella cheese in here and this is Parmesan cheese so I’m gonna measure out two ounces [Music] I don’t know the right protocol for this I know I’ve seen chefs try to get that into here but my agent move around nicely in the pan I just don’t know how to flip it [Music] [Music] it’s not bad looking looks decent I’m just gonna go ahead and put some Frank’s wing sauce on it so it’s not quite the Buffalo um omelette but it’s gonna have a little bit of flavor here so it’s kind of nice [Music] yeah I did a
