Baked Ginger Lime Whiting | Keto Lime Fish Recipe


hey guys welcome to our new kitchen we are loving it so far in light of this we’re going to do like a little housewarming series here we are going to do whole food based quito meals like meals that we basically everyday we’re starting the series off with an oven-baked ginger lime whiting and waiting is just a type of fish it’s you know it’s a white fish there’s a bunch of substitutions you can make for it we’re going to bake it in a baking pan like this but really feel free to use anything you can fit fish inside of so this is really simple you throw everything in a pan and you just kind of throw it in the oven this is the type of food we make most nights if we don’t have a meal prep ready which a lot of the time we do so we got a whole lime here and we have a knob of ginger that’s probably what they say in London when they’re using ginger probably like you just use the ginger to your liking I probably I’m going to go like you know a half inch worth of ginger that’s what she said all right let’s start by just placing the waiting in the bottom of the pan here okay so we got this in the pan so we have three cloves of garlic chopped up here and ginger garlic lime those are all things you can scale up and down based on if you’re really wanting to like cut the cards down cut some of those out but we’re going to throw on three cloves of garlic just kind of spread it on however you feel I like it roughly chopped it really adds a lot of good flavor and you can also just cook it with the garlic on and then kind of scrape it off before you eat it but I’m going to eat all the garlic I love garlic we always have ginger sitting in the freezer it makes it super easy to peel and grate and it just lasts a lot longer in the freezer so I’m just going to grate as much ginger as I feel on here and all of these things other than the line can basically be used in the powdered form if you prefer that or if you just have that on hand so like ginger powder garlic powder that’ll be fine it won’t be quite as good like fresh ginger really puts it over the top now we’re going to grate some lime zest just create that on top also feel free to use a lemon if lemon is what you have now let’s season it up a little more we’re going to go salt pepper onion powder really basic bunch of pink salt and then check it out guys we just got this pepper grinder the first time I use this mega set I look like I’m an Olive Garden waiter now we’re going to slice up the rest of this line perfect and then we got two tablespoons of butter we’re going to top it with so something to keep in mind with this guy’s is a white fish like this as opposed to salmon is basically pure protein so you’re going to want to offset that with some fat butter is a good way to do that you know any kind of cooking oil is a really easy way to add fat to your meal and I might not have mentioned this at the start but this is 12 ounces of waiting fillets alright guys there it is this is going to go in for 20 minutes at 350 it’s going to come out perfect check it out we’ll be back shortly here you go baby yeah how does that look for you that’s incredible mmm super lining so this is our first welcome home series recipe yes and this is what we’re having for dinner guys I’m having about 7 ounces you’re having five and then I also got this big salad and I got this baby salad we got avocado bacon some romaine and kale and then I also have some tomato I have the same but I have mushrooms and keep in mind guys we usually like one big meal a day with like a smaller breakfast so it is like a lot of food probably if you’re doing more of a standard three meals a day this isn’t what you’re shooting for but this is what we do we find that it works for us yeah so how does it taste give it a try mmm what flavor do you get lime yeah we could even go heavier on the ginger lime really comes through and then it’s just really really buttery but I love them like thickness of the whiting it’s like perfectly cooked and it’s like a meteor Sandi’s which I like like Poppaea very just like a onesie it’s nice to have refreshing meals like this once I’m off at a lot of Keo foods are pretty like dense and he didn’t meet yeah so this is a good change up in my opinion I love stuff like this yeah look beautiful you can make it for your friends for like a dinner night yeah that’s a great great idea or like date night it’s super easy to make so you can surprise or impress anyone a new live lemon instead of lime if you’re not a fan of live you can add some paprika all right I think chili powder would be pretty good my lamb is always kind of good yeah for some kick that’s probably what we’ll do next time I’m into something even some like fresh or dried chilies diced up would be really good that’d be really good you can use a completely different fish and if you guys are going to do like a super high fat salad or something like this this this dish on its own Julius is playing with something this dish on its own is skewing high on proteins you can add a little butter or olive oil drizzle at the end would be good and then we are doing salad tonight but we would also do like broccoli with this you could do roasted cauliflower – you could really go any side would go great with this does delicious though guys give us a drive to look at some fresh [Music] [Applause] [Music] so
