😥TYPE 2 DIABETES + INSULIN 📍DIAGNOSIS + SYMPTOMS 🏥REAL TALK… “DIET”BETES 🥑 KETO and DIABETES 2

today I wanted to talk to you about something really near and dear to my heart it’s not scripted I’m getting ready to get my kids from school kind of like in the carpool area and I I just needed I just needed to sit down and talk to you from my heart about this topic I get a lot of questions ever since I started keto and I changed my life with my diet and pure therapy to ketones started drinking them and just changing everything about what I ingest because of the weight loss I get a lot of questions but I’ve also got a lot of questions from people who have family members or themselves have just been diagnosed with diabetes and I know this is kind of like a controversial topic because I’m not a doctor and I’m nutritionist but I’m gonna go there and I’m gonna talk about it by the way if you’re new to the channel please consider subscribing I do make videos a lot different than this but this is just sort of a heart to heart if you want any inspiration on meal prep intentional living grocery hauls keto mom life I’m your girl my name is Kim and welcome to the channel but uh for all of you guys my subscribers here those of you been following me I need to share this with you it’s it’s really near and dear to my heart this topic of diabetes especially type 2 diabetes and I want to just talk real quick about type 2 versus type 1 just what I have learned a lot of my resources I’ll put below I have been following some doctors very very closely I’ve also had conversation I’m in close communication with my doctor but let’s back up so type 1 diabetes is basically a disease that people are born with it’s actually a malfunction of how the body creates insulin and that is not anything due to what a person has done to cause it it’s not caused by the person type 2 diabetes is basically in my opinion a disease of diet and as a matter of fact I don’t think they should be called the same thing I think type 1 should be called type 1 diabetes and type 2 should be called type 2 diabetes because I’m about to give some harsh truth here type 2 diabetes is a disease of diet that’s what it is it’s a disease of diet it’s a disease that is caused by the food we eat and there’s research to prove that you can do research on that yourself if you are in a situation where you have been either diagnosed with pre-diabetes full-blown diabetes do your research don’t just take everything that someone is telling you not even myself verbatim you know always do your own research always look into what things are but basically type 2 diabetes is a disease of diet so it should be called like I said diabetes and it’s basically when your blood glucose is so high and it gets that way mainly from food and that you’re in your body is insulin resistance so the pancreas creates insulin and the body is resistant to the amount of insulin it needs to basically function properly and last year when I started making keto videos because I started my journey in June of 2018 I shared that I was insulin resistant and I was really scared to talk about diabetes I was scared to go there what I didn’t really share was that I was I was pre-diabetic and I’m so thankful every single day that I found a way to reverse it and if you are dealing with this right now or someone you love someone you know just know that type 2 diabetes is 100% reversible with food and drink that’s it like there’s no there’s there’s no arguing that if your doctor is telling you that you have to go on medication if your doctor is telling you that there’s no way out of this if doctors telling you you’re destined for X Y & Z just know that you can reverse it especially if you’re in the early stages but I want to say the the really scary thing about diabetes is that a lot of times the onset is really slow and you start feeling symptoms sometimes you don’t and then the diagnosis is quick a lot of people don’t even know that they’re pre-diabetic they go from just not being anything not having anything to being full-blown diabetic and then some people just have symptoms that are symptoms that could be just they think they’re getting old because just so you know type 2 diabetes is usually 40 and above it happens with a lot of us getting up there in age and the symptoms I was having I just thought I was a mom with bladder issues or whatever you know getting bigger getting fed up or metabolism and that’s not what it was hunger thirst lethargy vision issues tingling in your hands and feet urination frequent urination that was my issue pain in weird areas that you just think I’m just getting older weight gain even weight loss believe it or not it’s really crazy how the symptoms are just slowly slowly coming upon us and I was experiencing a lot of these just like slowly you know a little bit of pain here a little bit of bladder issues here a little bit of tiredness here and nothing nothing in my right mind nothing in my in my life kind of would signal me to diabetes and it wasn’t until I found this way of eating the ketogenic diet and pure therapeutic ketones did I really realize that it was a matter of my food and drink that was causing all these symptoms and those symptoms were pre-diabetes I’m really trying to hold it together here because I get so emotional about this topic that I don’t want to trip over my words all I can say is that if you have been diagnosed you know someone you love that’s been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes have a conversation with your doctor listen to what they have to say but if they are telling you you can’t go on a ketogenic diet you can’t cut out carbs except for complex carbs obviously so when I eat vegetables if they’re saying you can’t eat fat because I’ve had messages from people saying their doctor is saying kind of go on more of an Atkins diet with low fat I would just say question why just question why question your doctor and then do your own research I am a self-care advocate now and my mission is to help other people advocate for themselves I have done this completely 100% by myself as a matter of fact I went against my doctor’s orders because he told me I was healthy and he told me to eat small meals a day and count my calories and eat low fat and watch what I eat move less eat more when I went back to see him a year after for my checkup he was blown away as a matter of fact he’s now looking into not only pure therapeutic ketones but the ketogenic diet because I literally blew him away with what I have done and how I’ve reversed and changed my life completely in my health yes all my panels are great my blood work is amazing I have diabetes no where in my future and I’ve completely changed it with food and drink like I said so I didn’t realize he’d be so nervous sharing this but I know when I first started making videos I was super nervous talking about my health because health is so personal health is especially when you’re struggling with it it’s almost embarrassing I don’t know why I felt that way but it was and I feel you if you’re in that situation I completely feel where you’re at it’s bringing me back and I’m getting choked up thinking about it how shameful is probably the better word how ashamed I was I felt like I let myself get to that point because again all the research I found was that this was a disease of diet and I knew like bony sugar don’t eat this let me just make this disclaimer like I wasn’t the girl to be eating fast food I wasn’t the girl to be eating a lot of sugar but I was eating foods that turned into sugar in my system you see this shirt ketones is greater than glucose glucose in my body is not the preferred fuel source being insulin resistant pre-diabetic is not the preferred fuel source ketones are the preferred fuel source and I just want to say if you have not been diagnosed with diabetes type 2 you could be suffering with insulin resistance that and you could be suffering with it undiagnosed because that’s how what I was basically suffering with without any formal diagnosis you could go through all these symptoms and you can be suffering with insulin resistance for a long time and then all of a sudden one day you go back to the doctor and you’re type full-blown type 2 diabetic so I just want to say that if you are suffering with any of the symptoms or any of this resonates with you look into changing your food and drink because that’s going to be the way you’re going to reverse this do do more research and know that there’s hope alright guys I got to get my son he’s calling me and I hope that this I’m whole by putting this out there I’m putting it out there with the intention to help someone so I hope that’s you and let me know in the comments below if it has alright guys thank you so much for watching I so appreciate your attention your your time on this and I’ll see in the next one you
